Eastman Kodak repair parts lists and repair service information

File consists of three 3-ring binders, created between 1929 and 1943, containing detailed, illustrated instructions and equipment lists designed to serve as reference material for those responsible for repairing Kodak still and motion picture cameras. Information contained within the binders was created and distributed on a subscription basis by Eastman Kodak Company. Subscribers would receive periodic updates of information, which could be added to the binders over time.

Sub-sub-series contains documents used as reference material for Kodak Canada's Corporate Communications department and also potentially by the Kodak Canada Heritage Collection and Museum between approximately 1970 to 2005. Sub-sub-series contains articles photocopied from various publications or printed from websites, including articles published by Kodak--such as articles from Kodak magazine--and articles published externally. Sub-sub-series also includes: mission statements, organizational charts and other strategic documents for both Kodak Canada Inc. and Eastman Kodak Co.; print-outs and photocopies of Kodak Customer Service pamphlets; and reproduced advertisements and photographic images. Because the Corporate Communicatons department was closely associated with the Kodak Heritage Collection and Museum, a similar file of Museum Reference Material was likely also consulted by employees of Corporate Communications.

File contains originals and photocopies of Kodak Customer Service Pamphlets and order forms, published between 1977 and 1997. These pamphlets were available for purchase and provided technical advice and information on various aspects of photography. Includes the Kodak Print-Exposure Computer (in envelope), Kodak Indoor Exposure Guide (2 copies), Snapshot Kodaguide, Kodak Development/Enlarging Dial, Kodak Projection Calculator, Chimifoto Ornano Optical Test Target, and Radiant Screen Finder. The five former items, all published by Eastman Kodak or its subsidiary, Kodak AG, contain rotating volvelles intended to guide users in the choice of film, shutter speed, and f-number for a variety of subjects and lighting situations, to help with photographic enlarging and development, and to aid in determining projection distance.
