White box printed with black ink for text and red ink borders, used for packaging Premo film packs for Premo film or plate cameras. Contained 12 cut celluloid negatives at 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 size, designed for daylight loading film exposures. The film packs were stored in an initially cardboard or metal frame that was placed in the back of the camera. The user pulled a paper tab to advance a fresh film into place for each exposure and move the exposed film to the back of the pack. "Each of the paper tabs, which protrude through a slot in the camera and were torn off after being used, had a number on it which acted as a basic, though perfectly efficient, exposure counter." Box is now empty of negatives, but contains two sheets of folded paper with instructions for use and processing, and one piece of folded red tissue. Torn sticker recto center top stamped "This film must be developed before July 1915." Maker is identified as Eastman Kodak Company, Rochester, N.Y. and Kodak, Limited, Kingsway, London, W.C. Kodak resellers in Paris and Germany are also listed on the recto.

Boxes of Kodachrome II Colour Movie Film for double 8mm roll cameras. Both films are sensitized for daylight exposures. The larger box gives directions to process before Oct. 1969, the smaller one before Nov 1972. There is a sticker on the larger box with a price from Simpson's department store: 3.99. The larger box has been opened, but still contains film and sheet of folded paper with instructions.

Filmpack produced by Agfa containing 12 cut celluloid films at 3 1/2 x 4 3/4 inches. In original orange cardboard packaging with blue and white lettering. Packaging has been opened. Red tissue surrounding the cardboard pack has also been opened, but black plastic film pack retains cardboard pull tabs that are typically removed when the film is exposed. Package is stamped with instructions to develop by June 1933.

Two sets of 12 posters, each set is missing poster 10 and has a duplicate of poster 9 instead. The posters illustrate the timeline of Lenin's life, with subjects including: The Ulyanov Family, Childhood and Youth, For the Happiness of the People, Leader of the Revolution, Advisor and Comrade, The Best Fried, Creator of New Light, Ilyich and Children, and Alive (Lives) Forever. It was published in Kyiv. The authors were Tamila Semenivna Zhurbyts'ka and Nina Oleksiyivna Andrusych, designer was Mykola Arkadiyovych Uspens'kyy and the editor was N. H. Shyshkina. The head editor was V. F. Hozha, the Associate editors were Ya. A. Lemeshenko and A. V. Sabadash, the design editor was M. M. Yakushchenko, the technical editor was Z. C. Onyshchuk and the correctors were E. P. Braslavs'ka and N. S.Mytsyk.

It starts at 11am." The invitation was issued and signed by Agricultural Construction Design Institute Director B. Rilys, party secretary A. Loda, local trade union chair J. Girdzius and Komsomol secretary A. Liksa.

Item is a Gevaert Gevabox 6x9 box camera that took 6x9 images on 120 film. It was manufactured by L. Gevaert & Cie, a Belgian company that merged with Agfa AG and Bayer AG in 1964. It has a rectangular metal body with chrome edges, a single-speed + B shutter, two waist-level viewfinders for landscape and portrait formats, and an f8 lens. The two dials on the bottom-front of the camera allow the photographer to choose between one of the three apertures, and between M and B.

Item is an Ensign rollfilm box camera that takes 3.25 x 2.25 inch exposures on 120 film. The camera has two viewfinders, three unlabelled aperture settings, and two shutter speeds.

Item consists of a box camera, for 5 x 7.5 cm exposures on 127 film. Model has two finder lenses placed horizontally across the top front side of the camera. The camera also has an extended hexagonal front plate around the lens with stops and closeup settings around it. There is a black enamel trim around the front end of the camera and a diamond shaped winding knob at the top right side.

Item consists of a plastic body box camera with a viewfinder. The camera includes a Voigtar 7.7/7.5cm lens and a compartment for the filter and extinction meter.

Item is one of the smallest cameras the Minox company produced. The original model, designed by Walter Zapp for use while hiking, was made in 1937 in Riga Latvia. Minox subminiatures were used as spy cameras by Nazi spies in World War II, as well as Soviet and American agents during the Cold War. The camera has its original leather case, and matching light meter . Synchronized for flash with a complan 15mm f3.5 lens.

Item is a molded walnut Bakelite camera with cast metal hardware and dual lenses. The front metal plate is cast with "CORONET, MIDGET, 16 mm FILM, MADE BY THE CORONET CAMERA CO. BIRMINGHAM, BRITISH PATENTS APPLIED FOR, DESIGN REGISTERED." The Moroccan leather case has the company logo and "MADE IN ENGLAND" in gold letterpress.

Item is a folding 35mm rangefinder camera with built-in dual range and uncoupled exposure meter. Manufactured in the Zeiss Ikon AG factory in Stuttgart, Germany from 1953-1955, this model has a Synchro Compur lens. The model name, "Contessa" is inscribed in gold on the leather door covering, and round rangefinder window directly above lens. The camera has double exposure protection and the shutter will not fire unless camera has film and is advanced.

Item is a 35mm Leica camera. This pre-war model, produced from 1925 to 1930 was the first commercially produced Leica and the first mass produced 35mm camera of high quality. The non-interchangeable Leitz Elmar lens is f. 3.5 50mm with a focal plan shutter. The Leica company (a combination of the last name Leitz and the word Camera), had an unexpected role in WWII Germany; Ernst Leitz II, director of the Leica company from 1920 to 1956, began hiring young Jewish workers in his Wetzlar lens factory shortly after Adolf Hitler took control of Germany. The interns, an estimated 50 overall, were trained and sent to work in the company's New York offices, saving them from the Nazi regime's Anti-Jewish Legislation.

Item is a black plastic camera, for 3 x 4 cm exposures on Bantam or Juka film and was a novelty camera marketed towards young amateur photographers. The actual image size is 32 x 40 mm. The camera includes a Meniscus f11/50mm lens.

Item consists of a Bauer C2-A Super motion picture camera. It used super 8mm film, which was one of the most popular home movie format for around 20 years. It has a Bauer Vario 1:1.8/7.5-60mm zoom lens, a built-in type-A filter, and a pistol grip. It runs at 12, 18 or 24 fps. It has a through-the-lens focusing system.

Item is a wooden, tailboard folding field view camera, for use with 13 x 18 cm (5 x 7 inch) dry plates. Field cameras are view cameras that produce studio quality images but are designed to fold down to a more compact, portable size. The camera includes a Universal Rapid Lens, series E and glass plate holder.

Item is a black leather-covered wooden folding 5" x 4", or quarter plate, camera. The camera has red leather, diagonal cornered bellows, Bausch and Lomb Automat shutter, and BECK 7" Convertible Double Aplanat lens. The ring-shaped clamp dates the model to 1907.

Item is a wood and brass folding tailboard field camera, likely of German manufacture, for 18 x 13 cm (7" x 5") exposures on glass plates. Camera is equipped with square bellows, hinged ground glass focusing screen, and no shutter. Bellows are secured with pins, when extended, inserted into keyhole slots. The slide out lens board has a Rodenstock Bistigmat 13 x 18 lens with rotating aperture wheel. The camera is equipped with 2 plate holders for use with 18 x 13 cm (7" x 5") glass plates, with a wooden adapter insert to hold smaller 12 X 9 cm (3.75" x 2.5") plates.

Item is a black leather covered folding camera with leather bellows, for exposures on 120 roll-film. Camera has a Marvel shutter with 1/25, 1/50, 1/100, B and T settings, an aperture range from6 6-45, and a brilliant viewfinder. A focus guide plate from 5 feet to infinity is mounted on the camera rail.

Item is a Zeiss Ikon Deckrullo-Nettel folding/bellows plate camera. The Deckrullo-Nettel is an improved model of the Nettel. The strut mechanism is characteristic of Nettel, and gives variable bellows extension for focusing, with a focus knob on the left side. The end of one of the struts appears as the pointer on a focus scale, in a slot in the top of the body. The camera also has a wire frame finder.

Item is a basic medium format camera for 6 x 6 cm (2.36" x 2.36") exposures on 120 film. Produced by Braun, this was an inexpensive Bakelite camera with a f7.7 75mm lens which allowed for focusing from 1 meter to infinity. The shutter allowed for 3 speeds (1/100, 1/30 and B). The basic design is similar to the box camera, with a more compact and rounded shape.

Item is a 35mm film rangefinder camera with a Schneider*Kreuznach Retina-Xenar f:2,8/45mm 4 element lens. The camera allows for shutter priority automatic exposure as well as manual exposure. Exposure is determined with a Gossen Selenium meter. The viewfinder offers parallax correction marks for framing. The camera comes with a manual and case

Item consists of a Braun Nurnberg Branette 35mm camera, made in Germany. It features a Staeble-Kata 1:2.8/45mm lens and a Vero shutter with speeds 1/25 to 1/200 sec + B.

File contains 51 copies of a consumer print featuring an image of Kodak products to be released at the 1996 Photokina Trade Show, held annually in Cologne, Germany. products include Kodak Advantix Chrome color slide film and color slides.

Item consists of a View-Master Stereoscope manufactured by Sawyers Inc., with 18 reels, and a View-Master Reel List catalogue of available View-Master reels, dated September, 1951.

Sawyers first introduced the Stereoscope at the New York World Fair (1939-1940). The 3D viewer is made of plastic and metal. Reel shows 7 diametrical, 16 mm kodachrome transparencies of famous global landmarks, characters from popular culture, major events etc. The push-down lever on the side of the viewer will rotate the reel one frame at a time. Reels are interchangeable and come with a variety of themes often ordered through a View-Master catalogue.

File contains stereoscopic slides that depict famous monuments and buildings from around Paris, such as the Arc du Triomphe, artworks, and the Champs-Elysées.

File contains a stereoscopic viewer and set of Kromogram stereoscopic images. A Kromogram was produced by a special camera and viewed through a Kromoscop.
The Kromskop is a stereoscopic viewer which combined the images from six black and white transparencies through colour filters to create a stereoscopic colour image. The six black and white transparencies were connected together in such a way that they could be 'draped' over the viewer. The set of six transparencies is called a Kromogrram.
To produce a Kromogram, the special camera took three pairs of images of a given object (an exposure time of a minute was required, which made it impractical for portrait work). It used a combination of mirrors, prisms and colour filters. The eventual positive was cut into three and mounted in a folded cardboard frame to form the Kromogram.
The three pairs of transparencies were black and white. However they differed in detail because they showed different features of the subject as transmitted through the particular colour filter.
The label on the box reads: "The Photochromoscope Syndicate, Limited, / 121, Shaftesbury Avenue, London W.C." The Syndicate, a British company, was established by Ives in 1898.
Kromogram consists of three black and white negatives made of one subject and there are four sets of three. One set focuses on botanical gardens/flowers, another on a vase of flowers, one on a Yorkshire farm and the last on two people sitting and reading.

File contains a hand-transcribed, copy of an interview conducted with Polish film director Walerian Borowczyk by Toronto Psychiatrist Dr. Frank Sommers, for Sommers' project "The Mind of the Film Director. Also included is a French language promotional booklet for the 1974 film Contes Immoraux (Immoral Tales) that includes film stills, synopsis, and and interview with the director.

File contains a transcribed copy of an interview conducted in Geneva, with Swiss film director Alain Tanner by Toronto Psychiatrist Dr. Frank Sommers, for Sommers' project "The Mind of the Film Director".

Item is a cardboard boxed filled with 54 stereoscopic images. Item comes with one handheld, compact, metal accordion fold black stereoscope. This object was used to view two nearly identical photographs, or stereographs, as one three dimensional image. The stereograph would be placed in the sliding card holder and adjusted to fit the user's vision until the two images overlap to mimic a three-dimensional effect. Images are vernacular photographs sent to A.P. Manners Ltd. to develop, print, and then return images to photographers. Item is a wooden and brass stereoscope with wooden hood cover. This object was used to view two nearly identical photographs, or stereographs, as one three dimensional image. The stereograph would be placed in the sliding card holder and adjusted to fit the user's vision until the two images overlap to mimic a three-dimensional effect. Item is a box type viewer which folds into it's own storage case. Additional reflector can be placed in adjustable brass arms to illuminate transparencies with its white or mirrored side. Viewer is mounted on underside of the lid case. Once inverted and lowered into the box the base becomes the the cover. Lock on either side designed to hold object in place. Later versions of this object included storage units for both viewer and slides. Such as a vertical model able to adjust the viewer to a convenient height and a horizontal cabinet to house stereoviews.
