This large scale model built by Stephan Dye of Grafotto Studios Inc, is the proposal for the 550 W Hastings renewal of the original Toronto Dominion temple bank. The project includes a 400 room hotel and shopping complex. Alternative name is bank charrette. A proposal drawing of the interior and exterior view of 550 W Hastings st., Vancouver BC. This heritage building is originally the Toronto Dominion bank. It was originally to be demolished however the Heritage Committee of Vancouver sought to rescue the facade of this bank and incorporate it into a project that would include a shopping complex and a 400 room hotel.

Project 200 was an initiative to restore Vancouver's most rundown areas. This project complete by 1975, is a 3 building complex that maintains the continuity of the street's facades. Shops are located on the ground level with offices above. The 6 oriel windows are a unique addition to the brick facade.

This historic 3-storey brick building in Vancouver's Chinatown district was partially destroyed by fire in 1972. The façade was preserved as a free-standing frame and the building behind it was demolished and re-built in 1973. It is an early example of Chinatown's distinctive architecture, typical of other buildings on Pender Street. It was used by importers, merchants, restaurants and clan associations and is sometimes also referred to as the Lee Building for its association with businessman Ron Bick Lee.

Unless at Canadian Stage

Item consists of a program for a play called Unless, by Carol Shields and Sara Cassidy, presented at Canadian Stage, between February 21-March 19, 2005. Item includes newspaper clippings of this production.

Unknown box camera

Item consists of a sheet film wooden box camera with brown leather covering, for 4.5" x 3.5" exposures on sheet film. Manufacturer unknown. Includes 2 wooden film holders.

Univex model A

Item is a small, Bakelite camera with a frame viewfinder. This was a proprietary camera design, which used No.00, 6 exposure film only made by the Universal Camera Corporation. Norton Camera filed a patent lawsuit filed against the Universal company after the product was released. Norton had been in talks with Universal to produce the camera originally. Universal eventually won the case and purchased the Norton Camera company. The camera originally sold for 39 cents.

Univex Model AF-4

Item is a subminiature vext-pocket folding camera for No. 00 rollfilm with an oxidized silver front plate and a Duo Achromatic lens. It originally sold for $1.95 which was less than it's predecessor's, the Univex Model AF-3, price of $2.50.

Univex Model A8

Item is a die-cast metal cine camera with a black finish. It has an interchangeable f5.6 Ilex Univar lens and a collapsible viewfinder. The camcorder uses Univex 30' patented spools of Single-8 film.

Univex Mercury (Model CC)

Item is the first Mercury model camera created by the Universal Camera Corp. It takes 18 x 24 mm vertical exposures on Universal No. 200 film, a special 35 mm wide film. The camera has a Wollensak Tricor Anastigmat f3.5/35mm and a rotating focal-plane 1/20-1/1000 shutter.
