Item is a model WM, "War Model", Comptometer manufactured by the Felt & Tarrant Manufacturing Company of Chicago. The model WM is a variation of the model M to require less materials during times of war.

Item consists of a medal with the engraving " Presented to James A.L. Johnston in recognition of more than a quarter century of loyal service with Kodak Canada ltd. 1973" Includes a plastic stand to hold the medal.

Kodak Sales training film

Item consists of a double-perforated 16mm film reel. Approximatively 8 minutes long. The film presents a group of Kodak Canada employees, mostly men with one woman, who are Kodak HQ in Rochester, receiving training in how to sell Kodak products. The film has different chapter headings as it goes along, explaining what comes next. Johnston is included in several scenes.

Brownie Six-20 Camera Model D

Item is a metal box camera, for 2.25" x 3.25" exposures on 620 film. It was a continuation of the Six-20 Brownie cameras but was renamed Brownie Six-20. The Model D camera features flash contacts.

Popular pressman

Item is the first reflex camera produced by W. Butcher & Sons Ltd. The wood and black leather camera has interchangeable backs for 3.25 x 4.25 and 4 x.5 plates and also has a Graflex 3.25 x 4.25 inch roll film adaptor. Focusing is waist level and included a long, leather focusing hood. Focal plane shutter with a 4.5 Butcher anastigmat 5.75 inch focal length lens.

Samsung Panorama Slim Zoom 1150

Item is a compact point and shoot 35mm camera. It is equipped with it's 38-115mm autofocus zoom lens with macro function at the 115mm end and pre-programmed shooting modes such as double-exposure mode, burst-mode and portrait. This model offers a mechanical "Panorama" mode by putting a horizontal mask over the filmframe.

The Optics of Science - Early Western Stereographs from the Dr. Martin J Bass and and Gail Silverman Bass collection

"The Optics of Science - Early Western Stereographs from the Dr. Martin J Bass and and Gail Silverman Bass collection" was an exhibit mounted by the students in the Film and Photography Preservation and Collections Management program. The Optics of Science presented late 19th and early 20th century stereographic cards and supplementary material from the Bass Collection, part of The Image Centre’s holdings. "The exhibition and accompanying publication focus on representations of Western science and related knowledge at a time of unprecedented and rapid industrial, social, and geographical change. Comprising medical, clinical, anthropological, astronomical, and spirit photographs, the selection highlights the technical and historical intricacies associated with looking at images often entangled with colonial legacies" (https://theimagecentre.ca/exhibition/optics-of-science) The exhibit ran September 14 - October 22, 2022.

The Art of the Archive - Ryerson Students and Alumni

The Art of the Archive exhibit that ran September 29, 2012 to December 22, 2012. The exhibit contained works by current students and alumni from the Image Arts program. Included are works by Alyssa Bistonath, Kyle Brohman, Julia Callon, Jenna Edwards, Tara Ernst, Daniel Froidevaux, Elisa Julia Gilmour, Ben Lenzner, Marc Losier, Eugen Sakhnenko, Kate Tarini, and Andrew Williamson.

Booklet contains reprinted, from the Canadian Historical Review, letters between Egerton Ryerson and Hugh Scobie in 1844 and 1846 that are held in the Archives of Victoria College, University of Toronto. The letters themselves are political in nature and were written just before the elections in 1844 and 1846. The book's forward is written by C. B. Sissons.

Item is a Graflex Crown Graphic 4 x 5 camera designed for hand held use. This model was a more lightweight version of the Speed Graphic. The camera's serial number is 921216.

Bolex H 16 Movie Camera

Item is a Paillard-Bolex Model H16 camera that uses 16mm film. Has original carrying case with lens accessories, and an octameter viewfinder. Camera is hand-wound with crank and has spring motor. Turret for three standard C mount lenses. Optical type viewfinder with adjustable dial. Includes 2 take up spools, one for 50ft and one for 100ft of film.

Zeiss Ikon Deckrullo-Nettel

Item is a Zeiss Ikon Deckrullo-Nettel folding/bellows plate camera. The Deckrullo-Nettel is an improved model of the Nettel. The strut mechanism is characteristic of Nettel, and gives variable bellows extension for focusing, with a focus knob on the left side. The end of one of the struts appears as the pointer on a focus scale, in a slot in the top of the body. The camera also has a wire frame finder.

Wollensak Revere 35mm f/3.5 lens

Item is a lens for a Revere Stereo 33 camera. This type of lens is unique as two lenses simultaneously expose two frames at once. The resulting images can then be inserted into a stereoscope which results in a three dimensional image, similar to using binoculars. Comes with a piece of paper that indicates the lens is defective on time.
