Her dress has an elaborate ruffled front. On verso, a gold ribboned border surrounds the text "THE/ DOMINION/ Photo Studio,/ 388 Queen St. West./ 6 DOORS WEST OF BROCK. TORONTO./ Duplicates can be had at any time by sending/ name in full." Near the top of the design, a graphic with a caged bird. Handwritten in ink to the left of the bird, "Aunt Jennie/ Mrs. Rowat".

Item is a nitrate 8x10 negative. Inscription on negative "Eastman - Nitrate - Kodak 137." Nitrate film was manufactured between 1887 and 1950, but Notman studios operated until 1936, and this negative was housed in a Notman envelope. Image is a portrait of a man with a mustache, with the background completely blocked out (painted in opaque red paint), and his face has been touched up with pencil. The man's face is closely cropped, to one side. Unidentified man.

Item is a cream coloured bi-fold card (3 flaps) with the embossed drawing of a viking ship on the top left of the outer flap. Inside, a photograph of a young woman outdoors, smiling, and leaning against a pile of metal or concrete tubes, with shipping crates behind her in the distance. On the mat around the photograph, embossed in brown, "H.A. Osborne/ PENTANGUISHENE,/ ONT."

Cream coloured card with grey border and oval photograph, showing a woman wearing an off-the-shoulder dress and heart necklace. The studio stamp at the bottom right is illustrated with a stylized version of the Prince of Wales coat of arms. The text reads: "The Carbon Studio./ Fraser Bryce,/ MANAGER/ PHOTOGRAPHER BY APPOINTMENT/ TO THEIR ROYAL HIGHNESSES/ THE PRINCE AND PRINCESS OF WALES". Handwritten note on verso indicates the woman's name was Margaret and she delivered this card photograph to the Macgowan family for Christmas.

Inside, a photograph is adhered to the card showing three women in a studio, one holding a baby. All 4 are identified by a handwritten note on the inside of the right flap.

Item is a brown bi-fold card with text at the bottom edge of the front left flap in black letterpress: "Portrait by Bayer, Charlottetown, P.E.I." Inside, a photograph of a boy in a sailor-style suit holding a small toy ship in his left hand. A piece of knotted rope hangs from his shirt pocket.

The family's address is printed sideways up the front of the card, and the parent's names are given at the bottom. Inside, the phrase "and the children....." is added to the inside left, while a black and white photograph of 6 children is pasted onto the right.
