They are wearing fitted dresses with skirts looping in front, narrow sleeves and high collars, most wear a brooch at the throat. Style is suggestive of 1880s fashion. Hair is up, with curled bangs. Item is an unmounted group portrait of four women and four men. All four women wear hats and dresses with puffy sleeves in keeping with fashion of the 1890s. Men wear sutis with jackets and vest with chain watches. Two top corners angled off.

Item is an unmounted group studio portrait of six children set agains a landscape background. Four children in front are seated,and two stand behind. Two seated on the same chair on the right appear to be toddlers. The two standing behind, one girl & one boy, are older than the rest. The girls wear dresses with big white lace collars, very fashionable in children's fashion from the 1870s. All four corners are angled off.

All three have hats, two are wearing them, and one is holding it in her hands. All wear black dresses, two have purses. There's an umbrella leaning on stool. Cheeks are tinted pink. Given their clothing perhaps they are in mourning. All four corners are angled off.
Item is an unmounted group portrait of four men and one woman sitting in a car. It is believed to be a Ford Model A car dating from 1903 which is how the photograph is dated. All four men are wearing bowlers hats, and suits with jackets and ties. Woman is wearing a large hat with flowers. Man behind wheel and another in backseat both have mustaches. Studio backdrop. Black band across top of image.
Item is a cyanotype image featuring a portrait of a man dressed in the Canadian Navy uniform, on his hat is written H.M.C.S. He stands in what looks like the back yard or garden of a house. Paper is very thin.

Item is an unmounted, hand-coloured tintype of a man and woman, both sitting and looking directly at the camera. The woman wears a dress buttoned down the front, with a white lace collar. The man wears a dark suit, with jacket and tie.
Item is an unmounted tintype is a photograph of a photograph of an older couple. Original photograph is in a decorative frame/case (daguerreotype or ambrotype?), and it is a studio portrait of a man and woman, sitting side by side, looking straight out at the camera, hands folded in lap. Woman wears a white bonnet and checked dress. Clothing of sitters suggest that original photograph dates from the 1850s. Handwriting on the back in pencil, not able to decipher.

Image is adhered beneath a rectangular piece of glass, brown colour. Image is a portrait of a man standing, in a top hat and suit and bow tie. The glass is adhered to the centre of the piece.

Item is a cream cabinet card with scalloped edges and red letterpress at bottom edge, "E. R. Owen, RED BUD, ILL." At the centre, printed inside a design of artist's palette and brushes, the text "EXTRA FINISH". Photograph of a drawing of a young man in suit jacket and tartan tie, vignetted so the image is quite small. The photograph has a pink tone.

Item is a hinged union case (plastic case) with design of "Night with Her Children, Sleep and Death" based on an engraving of Bertel Thorvaldsen's popular bas-relief. "The angel is a messenger holding dominion over Sleep and Death," p. 149 of same book mentioned in 2008.001.1870. Casemaker is S. Peck and Company which began manufacturing after 1852. Chosen case reflects sentiments of a newspaper clipping found inside case that reads :
"Died . Holmes - In Adeleide, on the 15th of February, 1878, of diptheria, Emma Margaret, aged 4 years, and Ellen Jane, on the 20th February, 1878, aged 10 years and 4 months, daughters of Mr. O.C. Holmes, of Adelaide. The grief-striken parents have the sympathy of their neighbors in their great bereavement."
Image is a tintype of a baby in long white gown, pink cheeks, being held by unidentified person, most likely the mother. Inside cover has a red velvet cushion which falls out when case is opened, to reveal hidden beneath it a piece of floral cloth as well as the newspaper clipping. Image is held in place with a cover glass, brass matt and brass preserver. Date for tintype based on daughters ages from newspaper clipping.

Item is a tintype, loose from mount. Cream card-frame with gold details and oval opening. Handwritten on back of card-frame "Probably the father of Uncle John Lonctot." Tintype is portrait of a man with beard and mustache. Hair is standing up on left side, like he has just removed a hat. He stares a camera. He wears a suit jacket and vest, no tie. White shirt underneath. Cheeks are tinted pink. All four corners are angled off.

He right arm is held behind his back, the left one hangs at his side. His feet are apart, and he wears dark slippers with dark leotards. His shirt hangs down to mid-thigh, and is fringed around the bottom and at the sleeves. It has a pattern of leaves on it. He is blond, and his cheeks are tinted pink. He stands still with the aid of a body stand. Top and bottom left corners angled off.
Item has a cream card-frame with green details of ivy around square opening. Edges of card mount are rounded out, like bubbles. Tintype is a portrait of a man standing on a sidewalk outdoors. He wears a suit jacket, vest and tie with high white collar and fedora hat. There are people in the background, walking on the sidewalk, and what looks like a car parked beside him. You cannot make out any details in his face. He wears something on his lapel, maybe a handkerchief in his breast pocket. Image dated in the 1930s due to the popularity of the fedora in this decade.

Inside cover is a soft red velvet cushion with detail of flowers. Red cloth frames image side too. Image is of a man looking directly at camera. He has long sideburns that come down to under his chin, and hair in a high wave off his forehead, similar to the hairstyles of the 1840s. His cheeks are tinted pink. He wears a checked suit with matching vest.
Item is a hinged black case with ambrotype inside. However, hinge is now gone and both front and back covers are loose. Held close with two metal clasps. Inside front cover has a red velvet soft cushion with some leaf details. Gold details outside edges of black case. Brass matt and brass preserver around ambrotype, but no cover glass. Image is a portrait of a man facing camera. Beards grows along side and under chin, with hair long and parted on the side. Cheeks are tinted pink.
