Annuals, periodicals, and newspaper clippings

Sub-series contains periodicals and annuals, created between 1900 and 2008, previously held and donated by Kodak Canada Inc. as part of the Kodak Canada Corporate Archives and Heritage Collection. Most periodicals are published by Eastman Kodak Co. and its susidiaries, Canadian Kodak Co., Ltd., and Kodak Limited (U.K.). Many of the periodicals were published for internal use, serving communications and community-building purposes for Kodak employees. However, many periodicals in the sub-series were also published for amateur and professional photographers, dealers of Kodak products, chemical engineers, and others. Some periodicals within the sub-series were published by external publishers.

At Kodak Heights was a bimonthly magazine, first published in January 1921, intended to foster communication among employees of Canadian Kodak Co. Ltd.

The full lineage of internal publications for Kodak Canada employees ran as follows: At Kodak Heights was succeeded by Kodak in 1936. In 1955, the name was changed to Canadian Kodakery. In 1975, the name was changed again to Kodak Canada News. In 1986, this publication was succeeded by In Focus; and in 1994, the name changed to its final title, Kodakery Canada.

Audiovisual product ads and information sheets

File contains advertisement mock ups and information sheets about a variety of audiovisual products produced by Kodak. Products include: distettes, video recorders and camcorders, video cassette recorders, converters, 35mm cameras, disc cameras, slide projector systems, and 35mm film.

Audiovisual series

Series contains video, film and sound recordings made as demonstration tapes for in-house meetings or advertising purposes. Some recordings document important visits to the Kodak Heights plant, meetings and product history, or awards acknowledging Kodak Canada's contributions to photography and the community.

Award of Excellence - Canadian Tire

Item is a wooden plaque engraved with the words: "THE AWARD OF EXCELLENCE" above a smaller brass plaque adhered at the base of the wood that is engraved "1997 / KODAK CANADA INC." Beside the plaque the Canadian tire logo is carved into the plaque. Beneath the brass plaque are the words "CANADIAN TIRE CORPORATION, LIMITED", also engraved into the wood. The centre of the wooden plaque has an image of a Canadian Tire store engraved behind an image of a handshake. On the verso is a sticker from the manufacturer, Laserwood Inc., that states the plaque was made using the new art form of Laser Engraving.

Contains 6027 b&w negatives from the Kodak Canada Corporate Archives spanning the history of the company from 1900-2005. Negatives are organized by prior arrangement when processed, which was loosely based on the Kodak Canada's organization of the files in their archives index. Files of negatives originating from the previous index associated with the collection have been kept together, with the individual file numbers and index titles referenced in the Notes field of each record.

Black and white prints

Contains ca. 7500 b&w prints from the Kodak Canada Corporate Archives spanning the history of the company from 1900-2005. Highlights include early images of the Kodak Heights facilities, including construction of the first buildings ca. 1915. These prints also correspond to the series of Kodak Heights Albums that document the development of the property. Other images document the various industrial activities related to the production of photographic materials, cameras and moving images at Kodak Canada. Oversize prints include reproductions of portraits of George Eastman as well as images of his life and various leisurely activities.

Prints are organized by the order created when processed in 2005. This arrangement was loosely based on the Kodak Canada's original organization of the files in their archives index. Files of prints organized by the Kodak Canada Archives Index associated with the collection have been kept together, with the individual file numbers and index titles referenced in the Notes field of each record.
