Colour negatives

Contains 7084 colour negatives from the Kodak Canada Corporate Archives spanning the history of the company from 1900-2005. Negatives are organized by the order created when processed in 2005. This arrangement was loosely based on the Kodak Canada's original organization of the files in their archives index. Files of negatives organized by the Kodak Canada Archives Index associated with the collection have been kept together, with the individual file numbers and index titles referenced in the Notes field of each record.

Colour slides

Sub-series contains 33,281 colour slides, 35 mm format, organized by two main sections: the first is a working collection of reference slides formerly used by the company and arranged alphabetically by subject. The second set of slides was formerly part of the company's archive and was located throughout the different files. The names of the files that the slides originated from are recorded in the Notes field of each record.

The first part of the colour slide collection is arranged alphabetically as was its indended order as a working refence collection used by Kodak Canada. The second part of the collection is loosely arranged by the previous index associated with the collection, with the individual file numbers and index titles referenced in the Notes field of each record.

Convocation

Sub-series contains photographs taken during Ryerson's annual convocation ceremonies. Sub-series has been divided into files by year.

Convocation textual materials

Sub-series contains textual materials created for convocation ceremonies. Included are tickets, instruction, and programs for each ceremony.
As of 2014 the tickets for the ceremonies went digital and as of 2020 programmes are no longer printed and tickets are now done by QR code.

Convocation videos

File contains DVDs created for each convocation ceremony and given to graduates. As of 2017, the convocation videos were no longer made into DVDs. The electronic copy of the ceremony videos were passed on to the Archives for retention.

Sub-series contains photographs taken at the various convocation ceremonies held in the Spring of 1980. Included are photographs from the Applied Arts division, Technology division, Business division, Arts division, Community Services division, and Continuing Education. The photographs are divided into files by ceremony.

Corporate communications, public relations, and marketing records

Sub-series contains records related to the production of internal and external corporate communications, public relations activities, and marketing between approximately 1900 and 2005. Kodak Canada's Communications department changed its name to Corporate Communications between 1982 and 1986, then changed it again to Corporate communications and Public Affairs in 1988. Records include notes, correspondence, advertising mock-ups and clippings, press releases and press kits, communications-related invoices, drafts of press releases, articles, and advertising copy, and other ephemera. Records pertain to the creation of advertising and publicity, event planning, community engagement, and corporate sponsorship. There was significant crossover between the activities and personnel of the Corporate Communications and Public Affairs department and those of the Kodak Heritage Collection and Museum, particularly surrounding Kodak Canada's centennial celebrations in 1999.

Corporate records

Sub-series contains textual records produced between 1885 and 2004 that pertain to Kodak Canada as an entire corporate entity. Includes: George Eastman and William Hall Walker's original Canadian roll holder patent; correspondence between Canadian Kodak and Eastman Kodak executives; customs letters; company-wide announcements; company history notes; general company information; annual and quarterly reports; reports published or commissioned by Kodak; executive presentation notes; corporate directories and administrative documents; records pertaining to miscellaneous corporate divisions; and other miscellaneous corporate records.

Course Calendars

File contains digital pdf copies of course calendars for the Yeates School of Graduate Studies. Calendars between 2006-2013 are divided by term (Fall, Winter, Spring/Summer) and full year calendars starting in the 2013-2014 school year. There was no 2021-2022 calendar published.

Crime and Punishment in Canada - A Twentieth Century Perspective

This subseries contains audio cassettes and textual records related to the Open College Course: Crime and Punishment in Canada - A Twentieth Century Perspective. (Course code COCR 932)
This course was developed as a professional required course for a new part-time degree completion program in Justice Studies. It was inaugurated in 1992 and housed in Ryerson’s Faculty of Arts, Department of Psychology. It was developed by historian Desmond Glynn and based on extensive research into existing degree programs in criminal justice and criminology with the objective to create a degree completion program for graduates of community college-based diploma programs in corrections and security.

DESC Office Files 1991-1997

Series contains seven files (in individual folders) of textual records, related to the Discover Engineering Summer Camp Program. Includes correspondence, distribution lists, financials, research materials, teaching materials, Discover Engineering project reports, questionnaires, and other materials.

Donald Mordell's files

Sub-series is a collection of files collected and created by Donald L. Mordell during his presidency at Ryerson Polytechnical Institute.
Donald L. Mordell was the Ryerson President from 1970 to 1974. Files are mainly composed by reports, minutes of meetings, proposals, memos, general correspondence and other materials related to the president's office.

Drinking vessels

Sub-series consists of a variety of glass and ceramic mugs, glasses, and steins created for Ryerson with its name and crest on them.
