Perry Schneiderman and Ziad Saghir

File of photographs of two Ryerson professors. Perry Schneiderman is a Theatre School faculty member and school chair, and Ziad Saghir is a Mechanical Engineering faculty member. Two of the photographs were published in the October 2000 edition of the FORUM.

File contains photographs of Ryerson Continuing Education Business program assistant Kate Sutton and an unidentified person. Photograph not used in FORUM - photograph of her winning the OPSEU Staff Star Award was used instead.

Tri-mentoring awards and office sign unveiling

File contains photographs taken at a ceremony involving Ryerson's Tri-mentoring program. There are also photographs of a sign unveiling for the Tri-mentoring office. The programme has a date of March 22, 2002 but the folder is dated April 9, 2002 - leaving an unclear date as to when the photographs were taken. Also the known people in the photographs are not listed anywhere in the programme.

Twenty-Five Year Club, 2003

File contains photographs of the reception inducting 16 new members into Ryerson's 25 year club. Included are group photographs of the inductees, one of which was published in the Feb. 2004 edition of the FORUM.

United Kingdom Universities delegation

File contains photographs for the visit of a delegation of senior administrators from universities in England, Scotland, and Wales. Visit part of the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), and the delegation learned about Ryerson's marketing, communications, fundraising, and alumni relations practices. One of the photographs was published in the July/August 2005 edition of the FORUM.

Honorary Doctorate recipients

There were eight recipients who received honorary doctoral degrees for 1999 they were John Neville, Lorne Michaels, Cornelia Han Oberlander, Lionel Hurtubise, Frank McKenna, Beverly Mascoll, Jack Granatstein and Bev Salmon .

Donor Recognition event

In recognition for donors who gave to the 1997 Annual Fund a cocktail reception was held on March 16, 1998. This file contains photographs and an invitation to a cocktail reception and a performance of Choreographic Works by the students of the Ryerson Dance Program.

RTA - NetStar - cheque presentation

President of NetStar Sports, Jim Thompson presented a cheque for $30,000 to President Claude Lajeunesse for students with disabilities pursuing a career in radio and television. Kevin Shaw is one of the first students to receive this award. He is featured in news stories in the FORUM news magazine and the Ryerson magazine about his award.

Business Management - Niche Masters Speakers Series

Alon Ozery founder of Pita Brak was a guest lecturer on campus. A 1996 graduate of Hospitality and Tourism Management he addressed students as part of the Niche Masters Speakers Series, developed by Business Professor, David Schlanger. Forum March 8, 1999. "Succesful grads return to class".

Nutrition School - mature students

Sylvie Boulet and Philip Aubin with their son and sometime-classmate Mathieu, both parents are studying Nutrition at the same time. From Forum May, 1998, "Career relaunch includes mom, dad and baby by Nancy Deutsch."

Discover Engineering Camp

Images of female high school students involved with activities at Ryerson's Discovery Engineering Camp, 2000. The camp was an initiative to attract more females in the profession field of engineering.

Architecture - Designing for Shade

Dr. Lynn, a dermatologist and pathologist, and George Kapelos, Chair of the Department of Architectural Science at Ryerson University, initiated the idea for Designing for Shade by consolidating years of discussions regarding the possible applications of architecture as preventative medicine for skin cancer and how to influence public policy makers to adopt these medical and design solutions. Included are images of the weekend-long charrette in June 2003 as part of the Designing for Shade conference.
