Includes 2 other lenses: Scheider-Kreuznach symmar 1:5.6 135 mm, and the other is 1:5.6 240mm. Both have Compur shutters. This camera is considered to be the ultimate for architecture and technical photography. It is still on the market and still used by professionals.

Item is a wooden time shutter that could be mounted on any plate camera. Is still functional. The spring wound mechanism oerates a sil curtain to open and close.

Bolex Paillard tri focal viewfinder

Item is a Trifocal Viewfinder. The earliest Bolex model H motion picture cameras included this viewfinder which could be fitted at the top or on the side of the camera. The field of view is shown for lenses of 3 focal lengths. Field of view is changed by raising or lowering side levers which move magnifying prisms into place inside the viewer. When fitted to the side of the film door, the finder offers parallax correction by adjusting a dial which corresponds to the distance between the subject and lens. The H-16 version shows the angle of view for 15mm, 25mm and 75mm lenses; the H-8 version adjusts for 6.5, 12.5 and 35mm. A serial number is located on the rear of the viewfinder which, in most cases, matches the serial number of the camera to which it is attached.

Item is an auto-release shutter mechanism for still cameras, which allowed one to take self pictures. By hooking the shoulder of the cable shutter release from the camera into the extended spring clip, an additional 10 second period was available to take the picture after pushing up the release lever. File consists of three 3-ring binders, created between 1929 and 1943, containing detailed, illustrated instructions and equipment lists designed to serve as reference material for those responsible for repairing Kodak still and motion picture cameras. Information contained within the binders was created and distributed on a subscription basis by Eastman Kodak Company. Subscribers would receive periodic updates of information, which could be added to the binders over time.

Item is the original patent (#22351) granted on September 2, 1885 by the Commissioner of Patents, Dominion of Canada, to George Eastman and William Hall Walker of Rochester, NY, for "improvements in roll holders, for exposing flexible sensitive photographic films." Item includes textual specifications and diagrams of the proposed improvements. Prior to patenting the innovation in Canada, Eastman and Walker were granted a similar patent (#317049) by the United States patent office on May 5, 1885.

Kodak Reference Handbooks and Technical Data

Sub-sub-series contains publications produced by Kodak for the consumer between 1940 and about 1995. Publications are pamphlets ranging from 1 to over 50 pages and intended to be stored in a series of specialized binders. The information pamphlets were published in series with an alpha numeric code, which form the sub series in this collection. Customers subscribed to receive updates based on their specific interest. Early publications, from the 1940's, were simply titled "Kodak Photographic Handbook" and later versions included: Kodak Reference Handbook, Kodak Industrial Handbook, Kodak Color Handbook, Kodak Graphic Arts Handbook, Kodak Professional and Industrial Data, and Kodak Scientific and Technical Data.

Each pamphlet has a unique, alpha-numeric Pamphlet Number, following classification scheme devised by Kodak to make ordering and subscription easy for clients. Schema is as follows:

It may be used in the presence of the customer." Item was designed to be added to over time. Includes correspondence related to the Eastman Photographic Course for Salesmen, as well as two letter from John W. McFarlane, Eastman Kodak editor of the reference manual. Item likely belonged to W.H. Davis, before being passed onto W. Bruce Poldon.
