Scope and content

In 1998 when the Wellesley Central Hospital closed its medical departments and clinics were moved under the umbrella of St. Michael's Hospital. The Wellesey Central Hospital became the Wellesley Central site. On July 5, 2001 the final inpatient department was moved from the Wellesley site to St. Michael's Hospital on Bond Street. On July 18, 2001 a garden party, sponsered by St. Michael's Hospital and the Wellesley Central Health Corporation (WCHC), to commemorate the official closing of the site. The site would revert back to WCHC on July 31, 2001.
The file contains an invitation and a programme from the July 18, 2001 garden party. It also contains a special edition of the St. Michael's Hospital newsletter In Touch - "A Tribute to the Wellesley Central Site".
