Camping snapshot album

Green fabric cover with embossed black stripes and silver lettering, "Photographs". White pages with four window openings per side. Windows have decorative border. Red fabric bindings are intact. Some hand colouring. Some photographs very faded.

Themes include landscapes, portraits, houses and buildings, camping, early bicycles, dogs and cats, horses and carriages.
Locations include the Boston Stone in Boston, Massachusetts.

Grand and Central America tour album

Black cover and pages.Album manufactured in New York by F.L. Schafuss & Co. Photographs glued in. Handwritten notations in black ink. Includes panoramic photographs and one navigational chart for sailing. Some loose photographs.

Photographs are travel snapshots from a cruise aboard the S.S. Vigilancia, a steamship that traveled from New York to Vera Cruz, Mexico. There are photographs of the popular sites and activities in Cuba, Bahamas and Mexico, including bullfighting, shoe shining, street scenes, cattle ranches, restaurants, mahogany, rubber, cocoa and banana trees, canoeing, vendors, Pico de Orizaba, markets. cathedrals, monuments, etc.
Other notable photographs are of the interior of The Grand Hotel, Wreck of the USS Maine at Havana, Monument to Cubans executed by the Spanish at Fort Cabana, ox-carts, and horse-drawn trams. Photographs taken at The Sequential Great Bull Fight, Havana. Vera City Mexico, Frontera Tobasco Mexico, Monte Cristo, Balancan, San Carlos, Santa Margarita, Vega Canal, Calle de Mayo and Mexico City.

Lantern Slides, Ships

Two slides feature two ships: in one slide the boat sails peacefully along the water in Newfoundland, and in the other slide a boat is caught in a storm. In the third slide, a crew is working on either loading or unloading a boat and crew members are busy working.

Magic Lantern Slide, Series II

Majority of printed images depict battles(Russo-Japanese War, Battle of Port Arthur, Second Boer War) and there a couple slides with depictions of generals, as well. Other slides depict train passing through town, people riding small animals, and ships caught in stormy waves near a harbour

Malta, Italy, China album

Green fabric-coated album with some decorative linear gold embossing. Spine torn along edges. First and last page have a decorative leaf pattern. Notations are handwritten in black ink. Photographs are mounted in between two layers, seemingly embedded into album's pages.
Photographs are of a family traveling through Malta, Italy, Portugal and China, taken at sites such as Pompei, Mount Vesuvius, the Temple of Heaven, and Summer Palace, as well as some photographs of the railway through a mountainous countryside.
Some photographs include images of the crew and family aboard the S.S. Somali, a British passenger and cargo steam ship that travelled between England and Hong Kong, stopping at locations such as Italy and India to drop off or pick up cargo. The ship was built in 1930 and was destroyed by a bomb while being towed on March 27, 1941. The shipwreck still remains upright off the coast of the United Kingdom, on the East side of Glasgow off the shore of North Sunderland.

Assuming dates of album are between 1930-1941, based on S.S. Somali's active days, King of Italy pictured would be King Victor Emmanuel III of Italy and his Queen, Elena of Montenegro.

Paris album

Black cover album bound by red braided string. The word "Photographs" in gold lettering on front cover. Black pages with photographs glued in.

Photographs are of families and scenery in Paris during the World's Fair and the Carribean Islands during Turtle Harvest. Some photographs of ships and trains. Photographs of St. Paul's Cathedral in London, England.

Sites and locations include Eiffel Tower, unknown Caribbean island photographs - possibly in Jamaica - last page of photographs befoe yellow sticky note (3/4 photographs on page are of boats), top right photograph has a sign that reads "Mandeville Produce" in background; Mandeville is a town in the parish of Manchester iin Jamaica.

Themes include: snapshot views, ships and boats, island life in the Caribbean - fishing, agricultural activities, chattel houses.
