History

Ronald Leslie Poole was a student at Ryerson from 1959 to 1964 and graduated with a diploma in Radio and Television Arts. During this time, Poole worked part-time at both the CFRA Radio Station in Ottawa and at CBC Toronto. After graduation from Ryerson, Poole completed a Bachelor of Arts and Master's degree of Social Work. In 1974, Poole returned to Ryerson as a professor in the Department of Social Services (later the Department of Social Work). Poole held this position until 1982, acting as the department's Assistant Chairman for 4 of the 8 years during which he was a faculty member.
