Owen Peat is an architect and the grandson of Burwell Coon, of S.B. Coon & Son Architects, the architect and builder of Howard Kerr Hall at Ryerson University. Peat is a former employee of Dunlop Architects Inc. of Toronto, a firm acquired by Stantec in 2004. His work focuses on health care design and includes the multi-phased redevelopment of York Central Hospital (Richmond Hill). He is a member of the Ontario Association of Architects and Royal Architectural Institute of Canada.
