Administrative history
The International Working Committee (IWC) was established in the late Fall of 1993 by the Vice President Academic with the endorsement of APG "to develop and internationalization strategy for Ryerson Polytechnic University that would recommend specific actions and priorities, which would contribute to an increased appreciation and understanding by our students, staff, and faculty of international issues, different cultures, and interdependence among nations." (Report: "Towards an Internationalization Strategy for Ryerson", Oct. 25, 1994) It is believed that the IWC evolved into the IAG. In February 1996, the Internationalization Action Group (IAG) was established by the Academic Planning Group to work on the implementation of the recommendations made in the "Towards an Internationalization Strategy for Ryerson" report. (Internationalization At Ryerson - An Update Report - Sept. 1996)
