11/4 Committee of President

File contains correspondence between members of the Committee of Presidents of Colleges and Applied Arts and Technology. The purpose of the committee is to assist in and provide leadership for the development of the colleges so they can play a role in post-secondary education in the Province of Ontario.

12/2 Pension Plan

File contains correspondence, reports, amendments and agreements to the retirement pension plan for salaried employees of Ryerson Polytechnical Institute.

10/4 Canadian Vocational Association

File contains one pamphlet promoting the 5th Annual Convention of the Canadian Vocational Association. Correspondence, a program outline and agenda of the convention held at Ryerson Polytechical Institute on May 27, 28 and 29 of 1968 are also included.

Campus scenes, 1969-70

File contains negatives of various buildings and external locations on the Ryerson campus. Files include negatives of the Ryerson bookstore, student lockers, nursing students, classrooms, Kerr Hall, statue of Egerton Ryerson, and the cafeteria. File includes an oversize photographic print of an aerial shot of the Kerr Hall quadrangle looking south west.

Ceremonial Shovel:Rogers Communications Centre

File consists of a ceremonial shovel used for the Rogers Communication Centre ground-breaking ceremony. It has a blue handle with blue and gold ribbon tied to it. A plaque was attached that with the inscription "'In Motion for Tomorrow' Ground-Breaking Ceremony Rogers Communications Centre November 15, 1989".

2015 ceremony

File contains programmes and invitations for the Thursday February 12, 2015 ceremony held in the George Vari Engineering and Computing Centre.
Alumni Award of Distinction recipients were: Theresa Agnew, Nursing '81; Terry O'Reilly, RTA '81; Margo Timmins, Social Work '86; and Robert Watson, Electrical Engineering Technology '76. The Isadore Sharp Outstanding Recent Graduate award recipients was Brennan McEachran, Business Management '13. The Outstanding Alumni Volunteer Award winner was Hala Bissada, HTM '91.

13/9 RFA proposals and agreements

File contains correspondence between Ryerson and the Faculty Association negotions team. A copy of the proposal, counter proposal and agreement between Ryerson Polytechnical Institute and The Ryerson Faculty Association are included.

13/19 Faculty teaching load

File contains a summary of departmental average workloads, a workload report and memos and correspondence regarding faculty teaching load at Ryerson.

13/35 Professional Development program

File contains an outline for the Professional Development program at Ryerson and correspondence regarding the hiring of a program co-ordinator. Volume 4 number 3 of the New Dimensions in Education Journal is included.

The Great Annual Outhouse Race trophy

Ryerson teams won this trophy twice in the early 1970s in the Great Annual Outhouse Race organized by the leadership and civic organization, the Toronto Jaycees. Ryerson’s team of 20 men led by Dave Newbigging won the race held during halftime of the College Bowl at the C.N.E. on November 23, 1974. The College Bowl teams consisted of Ryerson, University of Toronto, York University, and University of Western Ontario. Thereafter, the Jaycees abandoned the race with Ryerson continuing to hold the trophy.

18/31 The Ryersonian

File contains reports and correspondence regarding policy, staff and operation of the Daily Ryersonian. Some newspaper clippings are included.

18/47 CJRT TV and Radio

File contains information on the limits of the CJRT radio licence, operations costs, board of broadcast governors' hearing on educational television channels and other information related to the CJRT TV and radio at Ryerson.

19 Student activities

File contains information and correspondence on campus discipline, the Ryerson Circle K Club, fraternities and other student initiatives at Ryerson.

Ryerson Polytechnical Institute beer stein

Ceramic beer stein with green exterior and blue interior. Stamped with "Ryerson Polytechnical Institute" and the crest in gold. There is a price sticker on the bottom from the Ryerson Bookstore for $3.98. The bottom is stamped with a maker's mark - the stein was made in Ireland.

Mente et Artifio pewter mug

Tall pewter mug/stein with the Ryerson crest and motto engraved in centre on one side. Bottom of mug is glass. There is also a Ryerson Institute bookstore sticker on the bottom, the mug was sold for $8.75.

Ryerson crest glass mug

Barrel shaped glass mug with textured sides. "Ryerson", the crest, and motto are on one side in black. The rim is silver. There is a price tag on the bottom - Ryerson Institute bookstore.

Campaign launch - Invest in Futures

File contains photographs taken during a fundraising campaign launch for the Invest in Futures fundraising campaign. Included in the photographs are images of Ryerson executives, faculty and staff. Included in the file is a partial list of the people in the photographs. Photographs from this file were used in the July 2004 FORUM publication.

Included are photographs of a visit from the Minister of Colleges and Universities, Education pattern charts, and general campus and environs photographs. Also included in the file are various scripts from slide show that these photographs (and possibly others in the collection) were used in.

File contains correspondence regarding registration, schedules, fees, foreign students and other issues related to the Registrar's office.
Guidelines for the preparation of examinations and information on transferability, enrollment and statistics are also included in this file.
