An address delivered to the annual meeting of Canadian Journalism School Teachers by Ian Hamilton, a third year Ryerson journalism student. The title of the address is "On Future Journalism and How We Should Relate To It.".
Included with this document is a photo print of Ian Hamilton which was published in the March 20, 1970 issue of the Ryersonian, to accompany the news report about his address.

Story concept for a Musical

File contains a short script called "Story concept for a musical". There is no date or author affiliated with this typed document. The script is about a Chef named Bill who cooks for Santa and his elves with the help of crocodiles. The crocodiles' home swamp is threatened but The Mudslinger who wants to steal their mud for his Mud company. Correspondence regarding The Terezin Requiem

File contains mimeograph copies taken from Josef Bor's The Terezin Requiem (1963) pages 1-112 (x2) and additional copies of some pages. File also contains an envelope addressed to Montreal writer, Mordecai Richler, with a note from Paddy. The note asks Mordecai to call Paddy "Collect" at the CBC regarding a TV drama. Enclosed in the envelope is a 3-page typed storyline (including edits and annotations in blue pen) highlighting one of the scenes from The Terezin Requiem. Additionally, there is a small sheet of white paper which reads, "People to talk to suggested by Mr. Banik of Banik-Slocakotour Travel Agency." Included on this list are: Mr. Verny (He's Jewish and a former lawyer), Mr. Zlamal (has 3-4 books on the market), Mr. Brodsky (written book) or Nase Hlasy-Our or Radio Stn. CHIN and Mr. Novotney (will call back after holiday). List also includes corresponding addresses and phone numbers.

R.C.M.P - Canadian Sunset Ceremony

Within the file is a notebook filled with ideas and plans for event, travel expenses (including original receipts for hotels, airfare and miscellaneous purchases), show stage directions and correspondence with then RCMP president, Bill Pratt.

The National Capital Commission is a Crown corporation of the Government of Canada created by Parliament in 1959.

File contains an Air Dimensional Design, Inc. (ADD) promotional literature about "Air tube" and "Wind Bangs". The literature explains that "air tubes are inflated, three dimensional lines, unlimited in length and available in any color". Included in the fie is a list of some of ADD's more recent installations including, 1984 Olympics in L.A., 1984 New Orleans World Expedition, 1986 Vancouver World Expedition and the 1986 Unveiling of the Statue of Liberty in New York.

File contains volunteer manual for '88 Calgary Olympics. The binder is divided into five sections, including volunteers, Olympics, sports, venues and Calgary. It covers everything from board members, Olympics history, cultural disposition, and self test questions. File also contains two maps, (1) Olympic Saddle dome grounds and (2) Calgary Tourist and Convention Bureau Mini Map.

File contains letters and well wishers to Paddy thanking him for an excellent job as executive producer for the opening and closing games. Most letters are from friends and fellow Canadians and some American well wishers. Prelude to Expo '67 Photographs 1

Item 1-17 are photographs printed on Kodak film. Items 18-20 are printed but Henry Koro Commercial Photographer. File contain nine sheets of photograph proofs from Henry Koro Commercial Photographers taken of musician and performers amongst the construction site of Expo '67 (Montreal, Quebec). The photo-shoot was documented the performers from Prelude to Expo which was part of an Oct. 19, 1966 broadcast on Music Canada. The Montreal concert featured the Oscar Peterson Trio, Marcel Carignan, Jean-Pierre Ferland, Pauline Julien, Gordon Lightfoot, Aldor Morin and Miriam Makeba. Jimmy Dale conducted the orchestra. The broadcast also included Vincent Warren of Les Grands Ballets Canadiens with choreography by Suzanne Verdal. The Expo 67 site was seen in the background which was still under construction at that time.Music Canada was a Canadian music television mini-series which eight episodes on CBC Television from 1966-67. The series featured various special productions of music and dance, from classical to modern styles. Expo 67 was the most spectacular of Canada's 100th anniversary celebrations. When the Montreal Universal and International Exposition of 1967 opened on April 27, it was a gleaming futuristic spectacle and a dazzling international success. On two giant islands in the St. Lawrence River more than 50 million visitors were presented with a vision of the future.
