Item is a white card with raised oval photograph of a woman with a lace collar and a dark ribbon tied around her neck. On verso, photographer's stamp lithographed in gold, "W. NOTMAN" with the Royal Crest at the centre and a ribbon wrapping that which reads "PHOTOGRAPHER TO/ HER MAJESTY" followed by the locations of studios in "MONTREAL/ OTTAWA/ TORONTO/ &/ HALIFAX". At four corners of the design are images of medals, which read clockwise from top left, "LONDON" "1862/ LONDINE/ HONORIS/ CAUSA/ 1862" "1867" and "NAPOLEON III EMPEROR/ PARIS". Handwritten lightly at top edge, "70782".

Miscellaneous album

Item consists of an album that is beige with a linear, green, geometric design and brown tape along the spine. It is held together with black string. Pages are green. Photographs are loose. Other loose accompanying material includes ink, pencil and colour sketches, various postcards.

Most photographs are from Toronto, Ontario. 1 photograph shows the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir at the Peace Festival in 1919. There is a publication with a Plan of York Minster Sh3wing the Architectural Styles from 1931. 1 photograph of Sir Geo Scott Roberston, M.P.

Locations include: Hamilton, Ontario; New York City, New York; Boston Massachusetts; Bradford, England; York, England; and Yorkshire, England.

Vauxhall Victor Instrument Panel (car sub-series)

Glossy gsp with white border. Depicts the steering wheel and driver's side interior of a car. Recto inscription in black ink, bottom left: "2." Typed caption on paper taped to recto top edge of photograph: "FOR REALEASE IMMEDIATELY This handsome instrument panel is one of the many styling features of the new Vauxhall Victor, introduced today by General Motors of Canada, Limited. Quebec album

Flexible green plastic cover with gold lettering ("photographs"). Coated metal ring binding. Black pages, notation in pencil and ink on adhesive labels. Photographs mounted with photo corners. Many photographs missing. Some drawings in white pencil.

Album also includes some photographi reproductions, almost small postcards, of well-known sites such as Hotel de Ville - City Hall; The Basilica; Kent House, and others.

Locations and sites include: City Hall; Basilica; Statue of Taschereau; Duffering Terrace; The Chateau Monument to Wolfe; Cathedral of the Holy Trinity; St. Louis Gate; Provincial Parliament Buildings; Montmorency Falls.

Themes include street views, cathedrals, monuments, cannons ("old guns") of the Main Battery; mortars.

Homesteads album

Black cardboard and leather cover with gold embossed letters "Photos", bound with white string. White pages with white fabric guards/binding. Notations in black ink. Photographs mounted with glue on one side of page only. Some pages loose where fabric guards/binding have worn through. Some pages left blank towards end of album.

Themes include group portraits at social gatherings, photographs of houses, scenic views, "Parliament Buildings" (place unknown),.

WWI family album

Brown cloth cover with gold embossed letters- "Photographs." Black pages with photographs mounted with glue. Notation on photo borders with black ink. Sewn binding. Photographs are mostly family snapshots of people, sometimes with automobiles or in uniform from the Northcote family. Also included are images of golfing, bridges, fishing, horse riding, camping, farms, cattle, sheep, chicken coops, horse drawn sleigh, the beach, trees, houses, dogs, trains, children, biking, deer and wagons. Three newspaper articles are pasted in. One about the Northcote family (mother, six sons and two daughters) all serving in the war, one about Pte. Wm. Clements dying in battle, and one of Corporal Northcote being the first Royal Engineer to be awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal.

Item is a decorated hard cover album (CDV album). Closes with clasps. Album pages are beige with open slots for photographs. Hand-painted flowers frame the openings on every page. Gold trimmed. Contains tintypes and albumen cartes-de-visite.

Brown soft cover album with word "Photographs" on front. Bound by green braided string. Black pages with photos glued in. Handwritten notations in pencil. Back cover folded in upper left corner.
Photographs are family snapshots taken around Toronto, Orillia, Banff, Regina, Ancaster, Moose Jaw and Saskatoon. Some activities include rowing, tennis, canoeing, and attending various events.

Item is a cream coloured card with photograph of a boy seated in a studio setting. At the bottom of the card, in gold letterpress: "H. D. Wallis, Photographer, 61 SPARKS STREET OTTAWA". On verso, elaborate design in gold ink repeating the photographer's name and studio address, along with a handwritten note and negative number. A cartoon of two Chinese (?) men appear in the lower left of the design. The card design was provided by Free Press Print, Ottawa.

[Osberg family(?) portraits]

File consists of four card mounted photographs, 3 of the same man in various poses and 1 of a woman. All mounted on black card by studios in Montreal. The photographs were found inside the Agnes Osberg album (2009.005.023) with a yellow sticky note that read: Came from the same family But Not this album.

The card-mounted photographs are all studio portraits of unidentified individuals. The first of two cabinet cards is embossed with "Quartley", and the second is embossed with "Morton." Two Cartes de visites are printed on verso with "J.F. Rowe. A fifth card is identified as a "Gem" photo card, printed on verso with "R.W. Knorr" and an advertisement for the tiny Gem format.

Item consists of a photograph of someone diving from a cliff, likely Queen Victoria's Rock in Lake Rousseau Muskoka. It is mounted on brown card, with an inscription that reads "VICTORIA ROCK 37'" below the image. On the verso in pencil is inscribed: "WRBenson / 1918".
