Silver platter - Mary Willmina Ferguson

Round silver platter with 3 feet. Fluted edge with filagree decoration around edge and around writing in centre. Inscription reads "Presented to Mary Willmina Ferguson by Wellesley Hospital Nurses Decemver 11th 1946".

Based on silver markings on the platter, it was created by John Round & Son Ltd. in 1924. The firm was established by John Round in Sheffield in 1847. In 1874 the firm became John Round & Son Ltd and in 1886 the business of Ridge, Allcard & Co (Lions Works, Eyre Lane) was amalgamated and John Ridge became the manager. The main factory was the renewed Tudor Works, Tudor Street, Sheffield.

Brown photograph album - Official opening of Hospital 1912 Aug 27 by Duke of Connaught

Photograph taken on the steps of the front entrance of the Wellesley Hospital. The Hospital opened in 1911 but was under renovation and officially opening in August of 1912. The Duke of Connaught, Governor General of Canada was there to do the honours. In the photograph he is standing left of centre in the front row. Also in the photograph are Dr. Bruce (far left bottom), and Sir William Mulock (far right).

Photograph of a line of couples entering the Centennial Ballroom at the Inn on the Park for the Wellesley Hospital 60th Anniversary Ball. Leading the procession is Lieutenant Governor of Ontario W. Ross MacDonald and the Duchess of Wellington. The next couple is the Duke of Wellington and an unidentified woman. The third couple entering the ballroom is Angela Bruce, widow of Hospital founder Dr. Herbert. A. Bruce, and former Chairman of Wellesley's Board H. M. Turner.
The photograph was published in the Fall 1972 edition of the Wellesley World magazine and in the Wellesley Anniversary Review '72.

The Wellesley Hospital School of Nursing Alumnae Association 100th Anniversary commemorative framing

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Wellelsey Hospital School of Nursing Alumnae Association (1915-2015), the alumnae created a commemorative framed piece. Included in the frame is a photograph of the first graduating class from Wellesley in 1915; a graduation ring donated by Mary Stanton Sheen, class of 1931; and a year and graduation pin from current Alumnae Association president Shirley Hollefriend Heard, class of 1962. Included with the framed item is a information sheet with information about the portrait, pins, and ring.

Christmas Carols by the Choir of the Wellesley School of Nursing

Cream coloured cardstock cover with green writing "Christmas Carols by the Choir of The Wellesley School of Nursing December 19, 1968". In the centre of the front cover is an illustration in red of nursing students singing and playing instruments. Inside the booklet are the words to the carols - O Little Town of Bethlehem, O Come All ye Faithful, Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, and Silent Night, and a programme of events.

The photograph donated to Wellesley Hospital Archives in memory of a Wellesley graduate from the Class of 1922. Included in the file is the letter from the donor to the Wellesley Hospital, and a return letter from the Hospital to the donor.

Graduates singing through hospital corridors

Three copies of a photograph showing the Wellesley Hospital School of Nursing class of 1967 walking through the halls of the hospital and singing on their way to the graduation breakfast held for them by the class of 1968. Lining the corridors are student nurses. This singing was part of the graduation events that took place every year. This photograph was used for the cover of the June 1967 issue of the Wellesley World newsletter - a newsletter put out by the hospital.

Class of 1915 graduation pin

Ethel Hogaboom, Class of 1915 graduation pin. Ethel was a member of the first graduating class at the Wellesley Hospital School of Nursing. Gold and enamel graduation pin. Pin feature the hospital crest and motto encircled by a band with "Wellesley Hospital" on it. The person's name and date of graduation is engraved on the back of the pin.
