Three ring binder with plastic pages filled with scrapbook pages. Appears that the orginal scrapbook was taken apart and placed in the plastic sleeves. Filled with newspaper clippings, correspondence, cards, programmes, and photographs covering Grace Bolton's history with the Wellesley, the history of the Nursing school, the Hospital, and the Alumnae activities during World War II and beyond.
Scrapbook is not completely in order - First several pages are out of order followed by pages starting in 1933, when Grace Bolton graduated from the Wellesley. The pages are in order by year after this until the end when there was a single plastic sleeve filled with many items place together. Starting with letter from a School in the United Kingdom, these items have each been given their own sleeve. The majority of the pages are double sided - with items on both sides of the page.

The 50th anniversary of the Wellesley Hospital celebrations were held June 6-8, 1962. Events included a garden party at Casa Loma, the School of Nursing's graduation ceremony, tours of the hospital and residence, and a dinner at the Royal York Hotel.

The 60th anniversary of the founding of The Wellesley Hospital and The Wellesley Hospital Alumnae Association's celebrations were held September 6 - 8, 1972. The 75th anniversary of the founding of The Wellesley Hospital was celebrated with various events held over the summer of 1987. On June 7 The Wellesley had a SUNday at Woodbine Racetrack, raising $70,000 for the hospital. On July 11, 800 members of The Wellesley Hospital staff and their families had a picnic at Earl Bales Park. On August 27 there was a 75th anniversary Garden Party on the hospital grounds with a 1912 theme - the year the hospital officially opened. A plaque honouring hospital founder Dr. Herbert Bruce was unveiled.
The file contains a 75th anniversary commemorative sticker, and a copy of the invitation sent to alumnae inviting them to the Garden Party.

Cerlox bound yearbook created for the Wellesley Hospital School of Nursing Class of 1960 50th anniversary. Included in the booklet are updates on graduates, photographs, and an in memoriam section.

File part contains pages of guidelines, from different years, outlining the sources of funding available to members of the Wellesley Alumnae Association. The guidelines were sent out by the Vice President Patient Services for the Hospital V. Sinnott and the secretary of the Alumnae Association.

For 1986 there were three scholarships:

The Elisabeth Flaws Memorial Scholarship - available to active members of the Alumnae Association and are taking post graduate studies in nursing at the degree level. The scholarship was for $2000.

The Elsie K. Jones LaVenture Memorial Fund - is available to registered nurses that have been on staff at The Wellesley Hospital for a minimum of one year. Applicants must take a short term course in graduate studies. There is a one year service commitment to Wellesley after the course is completed.

The Mrs. Herbert A. Bruce Memorial Scholarship - available to current members of the Association and to registered nurses on staff at The Wellesley for a minimum of one year. Applicants must take a conference, seminar, workshop, or refresher course. Scholarship for $200.

For 1987, all the same scholarships were available along with one more:

The President's bursary - available to all current members of the Alumnae Association who are graduates of the School of Nursing. Applicants must take a short term course in graduate studies.

Isobell Bussell graduated from the Wellesley Hospital School of Nursing in 1938. The collection of materials include some nursing/medical texts, a portrait of her in her R.C.A.F. nursing uniform, and a photograph album.

File contains 5 nursing and medical books used by Isobel Bussell during her schooling and after.

One copy of "Studies in Ethics for Nurses" by Charlotte A. Aikens, R. N. Inside the book is a piece of folded paper with a handwritten copy of the "Nightingale pledge" on one side and notes about ethics, and discipline on the other.

A photograph album created by Isobel Bussell. The majority of the photographs are from her time in Nursing school and with her nursing friends outside of school. There are also photographs of Isobel in her WWII nursing uniform.

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Wellelsey Hospital School of Nursing Alumnae Association (1915-2015), the alumnae created a commemorative framed piece. Included in the frame is a photograph of the first graduating class from Wellesley in 1915; a graduation ring donated by Mary Stanton Sheen, class of 1931; and a year and graduation pin from current Alumnae Association president Shirley Hollefriend Heard, class of 1962. Included with the framed item is a information sheet with information about the portrait, pins, and ring.

Collection contains collected by Wellesley Hospital School of Nursing class of 1970 graduate Trudy Johnson. Included are yearbooks, newsletters, booklets and information related to the school of nursing and 4 uniform patches.

Cream coloured cardstock cover with green writing "Christmas Carols by the Choir of The Wellesley School of Nursing December 19, 1968". In the centre of the front cover is an illustration in red of nursing students singing and playing instruments. Inside the booklet are the words to the carols - O Little Town of Bethlehem, O Come All ye Faithful, Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, and Silent Night, and a programme of events.

Two copies of the 1968 Lion's Tale yearbook. This was the year Trudy Johnson entered her nursing training at the Wellesley Hospital Nursing School.

One copy of the Lion's Tale 1970 yearbook. Trudy Johnson's name is on bottom right corner of front cover in gold. Trudy Johnson was the valedictorian for her class and her graduation address is published on page 73 of the yearbook.

Four uniform patches "School of Nursing" with "WH" in larger letters in the centre. Patches would be been sewn on the arms of the student uniform.

The Wellesley Hospital sous-fonds contain items used by and created for the Hospital. The collection includes dishes, medical equipment, photographs, meeting minutes, brochures, published materials, audiocassettes and other materials.

File contains a letter from Florence Nightingale to Louise Darche, the superintendent of the New York City Training School for Nurses. It also contains a photograph of Florence Nightingale.

File contains a brown covered loose leaf notebook with "Climax" embossed on cover in black. Inside are lecture and course notes for surgical nursing. Dorothy Arnot was the instructor. Also in the notebook is a TIME magazine stories about penicillin and tuberculosis.

File contains invitations to the Wellesley annual carol tea and programs for the annual carol sing performed by a choir of student nurses. Included with the 1968 program are several copies of a record created of the choir singing.

Nursing certificate earned by a 1917 Wellesley Graduate. Wellesley would send its nurses to other institutions to gain experience in areas that Wellesley did not have at their Hospital.

Series contains audio-visual materials created by the Wellesley Hospital School of Nursing Alumnae Assocation. It includes oral histories, and a narrated slide show of the hospital created by the Alumnae Association.

File contains 9 audiocassettes with interviews conducted by a Mary (Sandals) Caesar, class of 1965. She interviewed members of earlier graduating classes about their recollections of training and working as a nurse. Interviewees include Helen Carruthers, class of 1916; Gladys (Bateman) Steele, class of 1916; Florence (Stewart) Roberts, class of 1919; Isobel (MacGillivray) Carleton, class of 1919; Jessie (Campbell) Smith, class of 1919; Grace (Mitchell) Berry, class of 1927; Grace Bolton Farthing, class of 1933; and one class of 1925 graduate.

File contains the script and slides for a Introduction to the hospital slide show created by the Wellesley Hospital School of Nursing Alumnae Association. Also included are extra slides not used in the slide show and a movie version of the slide show on VHS tape and on DVD.
