Produced by Braun, this was an inexpensive Bakelite camera with a f7.7 75mm lens which allowed for focusing from 1 meter to infinity. The shutter allowed for 3 speeds (1/100, 1/30 and B). The basic design is similar to the box camera, with a more compact and rounded shape.

This camera has the inscription " Wirgin Wiesbaden-West-Germany". All Edixa 16 cameras with this inscription were made by Frank Werk.
