H.M.S. Superb Voyage album

Decorated blue cover with green pages. Photographs inserted into openings in pages. Handwritten notations in black ink. Some loose photographs; back indicate they were postcards.

Inside front cover: "Photographs taken from H.M.S. Superb during her voyage under sealed orders from Rosythe (Scotland) to take supreme command of the allied fleets in the Mediterranean and Near East, arrange the Armistice with Turkey and capture the German fleet in the Black Sea."

Canterbury cathedral and girl

Two pairs of photographs originally grouped together. Two photographs are of a girl seated on a miniature chaise longue in front of garden wall, and two photographs are of the interior of Canterbury Cathedral. The cathedral photographs have both been written on verso in pencil "Canterbury Cathedral," and individually in ink, "Presbytery and Archbishop Bourchier's Tomb" and "Effigy of the Black Prince from his Tomb."

Blue cover with gold embossed letters- "Scrap Book." Bound with black string. White pages, photographs mounted photo corners or glue. Notation in black ink. Photographs are snapshots of people in front of buildings, street scenes, houses, streetcars, a transmitter station, soldiers, air force, Bolton Abbey, Bernard Castle, and other sites.
Other materials include a postcard of Robbins Drug Store in New Brunswick, five telegrams from Allan Jackson, four newspaper articles about wireless operators, three articles about women entering the Royal Canadian Air Force, a booklet from Westminster Abbey entitled "Westminster Memories," and eleven small souvenir picture cards featuring different interiors, a brochure called "What's on and Where to Go in Glasgow," a pamphlet about the Castle of Edinburgh, a letter from Allan Jackson to his wife Mrs. G.A. Jackson in Montreal, a map of London, a London Underground map, two London transport day tickets, and several pamphlets from various sites in London.

Identified to be Cressie Leonard (1887-unknown) and Billy Leonard (1891-1974), both Irish-born English variety theatre entertainers, musical comedy actors and singers. Here they are photographed for the 1916 and 1917 touring revue, "A la Carte".

Man on left is seated, wearing a suit and bow tie. Man on right wears a sailor style suit, and appears again in 2005.001.102. Embossed on bottom edge of card, in silver, "The Royal Photo Co./ 12 Shacklewell Lane/ Kingsland, N.E." On verso, at top left in pencil, "3-". Kingsland N.E. was the name of a village that has now been adopted by the Dalston Junction in the Borough of Hackney, London, U.K.

Item consists of a photograph mounted on white card with black letterpress at bottom edge, reading from left to right "J. Russell & Sons/ Photographers", "By special appointment to/ His Majesty the King.", "17, Baker Street. W. &/ 13, High St. Windsor." Photograph shows a long gothic style hall (probably the nave of a cathedral) laid out with tables for dining, and men seated at all the tables. File consists of an album with the words "scrapbook" written on the front in red and blue letters. On the cover there is a picture of a boy sitting at a desk with a crown counting coins. In the room around him are pictures of a knight fighting an ogre; a picture of two hunters, and a fireplace with a clock on the mantle beside a mounted horse figurine, some books. and a calendar. The pages are plain off-white in colour and have articles and photographs glued in, along with many loose clippings and photos spread throughout.
Scrapbook contains images and newspaper articles about the Lambert and Fellows families, including wedding and death announcements.

Accompanying loose materials include: postcards, photoengravure reproduction, pen and ink drawing, photographs - mounted and unmounted, newspaper articles.
