Item is a small novelty film camera that is disguised as a railroad pocket watch, first produced into early 1900's and sold until 1939. The exposure is made through the winding stem and the winding knob serves as a lens cap, and required special film cartridges. The camera is relatively common, as it was marketed for so long and several variations exist in the "Expo" trademark style, the winding knob, and the viewfinder shape. Black, red, blue enameled versions produced about 1935 are rarer. Item has its original box and triangular viewfinder, but the lens cap is missing.

The Kodak Canada collection contains records and artifacts from the Kodak Heights manufacturing facility in Toronto, as well as the historical collection belonging to the Kodak Heritage Collection Museum. The collection consists of photographs, negatives, advertising records, magazines, pamphlets, daily record books, recipe books, cameras and other photographic equipment produced by Kodak Canada Inc., or other Kodak plants around the world. The collection includes a small selection of financial records, blueprints for Kodak facilities in Canada, and other corporate ephemera, as well as photographs of events, buildings and individual employees that illustrate the social life of the company.

This collection consists of programs from theatre, opera, and symphony performances that the collector attended from 1952-2020. Most programs have the ticket stub tipped in, and some include newspaper reviews and clippings for the performances.

The series consists of the files from the Folk Recovery archive. The oral history project was created by Kejo Buchanan, host of the Jali Journey program on CJRU. Folk Recovery is an oral history project designed to highlight and celebrate Black, Indigenous, Asian and all racialized storytellers and their contributions to the Canadian folk sound.

The files in this serie contain audio and video copies of the storyteller's interview in wav and mp4 formats, an mp4 video with ASL interpretation, a participant headshot image in jpg format and an interview transcript in Microsoft Word and PDF formats.

Title taken from card-frame. The bull in the picture with the name Ferdinand on the card-frame could be referencing the children story of Ferdinand The Bull from 1935, made into a cartoon in 1938 by Walt Disney - this would potentially date the image from after 1938. The tintype is an image of a bull with a man sitting on its back, arms in the air and holding two guns. Another man stands beside the bull, in sunglasses and a hat. They seem to be standing on a beach.

Stacey, Artist./ Over 56 Main Street,/ Medina, New York." The text is a brief biography of Richard Gordineer, a slave born to a Mohawk Dutchman and a black woman, who was freed in 1825 along with all the slaves in New York state. He was an excellent baker, and was regularly employed as a whitewasher until he lost all his savings in 1862. Gordineer died on December 11, 1884.

The archive contains thousands of negatives and photographs taken for publication in Canadian Architect magazine. As announced in the magazine's inaugural issue, Canadian Architect reviewed and documented both public and private structures, including churches, homes, businesses, airports, government offices and public spaces. The subjects of the photographs are generally modern Canadian structures, but images of some International sites and early 20th century Canadian buildings can be found in the collection as well. The collection also contains images of entries to the annual national design awards program sponsored by the magazine, the "Awards of Excellence." The collection also functions as a record of the changing nature of magazine production over the latter part of the 20th century. Canadian Architect was the first business publication in Canada to make engravings on site from original photographs, allowing for a rich selection of both prints and negatives. Instructions by editors and layout artists regarding their eventual printing in the magazine are often written directly on the prints, along with photographer's stamps, credit lines or captions.

This item contains a series of black and white acetate negatives commissioned by The Canadian Architect periodical to accompany a special issue on Shopping Centres and published October 1958. James H. Acland and James F. Harris are identified as authors of the sections of the magazine relating to shopping centres.

File contains catalogues from the Prosch Manufacturing Co., New York.

File contains catalogues and price lists for cameras and photographic equipment manufactured under the name "Graflex" (including Folmer & Schwing, Eastman Kodak, Folmer Grafelx and Graflex Inc.).

File contains photographs taken on campus of spray painted messages related to Egerton Ryerson and his role in Residential Schools in Canada. The messages were created in response to the discovery of the remains of 215 children at the site of the former Kamloops Indian Residential School located on the Tk'emlúps te Secwépemc First Nation. On June 6, 2021 after a march and rally in Toronto, the statue of Egerton Ryerson was pulled down. The plinth it sat on was later removed by the University.
The photographs were commissioned by the Office of the President and were taken after the statue was pulled down and the plinth was removed. The photographs are of the messages of protest that were spray painted and chalked on the walls of Kerr Hall, the sidewalk and road in front of where the statue was located, on the stones in Lake Devo, and on the walkways in the Kerr Hall Quadrangle. There are also photographs of the areas around where the messages were located - Gould Street and the Kerr Hall Quadrangle.

Folder contains 6 b&w photographs of the Kiyooka residence in Vancouver, B.C. A residence for artist Roy Kenzie Kiyooka and his wife Monica Kiyooka. Winner ward for residential design 1971 from the Canadian Housing Design Council. The designer of the residence was Mrs. Monica Kiyooka.

Item consists of a Brownie Reflex Synchro Model, made in Canada by the Canadian Kodak Co. Limited. It has a twin-lens reflex pattern and a large finder with a folding hood. It uses 127 film, a rotary shutter, and has a meniscus lens. It is in the original box with two manual booklets and has a fabric braid strap.

Item is a leather covered wooden box camera. The Ansco Memo is a single frame, fixed focus which takes landscape oriented images. Film is advanced by pushing down on a lever in the back of the camera. While not the first American camera made for 35mm film, it is the first to sell in abundant quantities.

Item is a simple box camera designed to mimic the look of a twin lens camera. The topmost "lens" is in fact a brilliant viewfinder, the lens is a "colour corrected" Bohmar Precision lens (74mm) allows no focusing.

Item is an all-metal camera designed by Raymond Loewy for 6 x 6 cm (2.36" x 2.36") exposures on 620 film. Designed to mimic the look of a twin lens camera, the topmost "lens" is in fact a brilliant viewfinder, it is a simple box camera design with a two element Meniscus F11 lens and fixed 1/60th shutter speed. The front panel slides up to reveal the lens and viewfinder.

Item is an inexpensive box camera made of fiberboard and covered with imitation leather. The camera has a Gallileo-type viewfinder only (no brilliant viewfinder), flash contacts, and a single speed shutter that is fast enough to accommodate bulb flashes. It used 120 size roll film.

Originally designed and produced by the Boston Camera Company, Hawk-Eye camera production changed hands twice, once in 1890 when sold to the Blair Camera Company, then again in 1907, when Eastman Kodak purchased the company. One of the best selling Brownie cameras ever made, it is a simple easy to use design created by Eastman Kodak employee Arthur H. Crapsey. The original sales price was $5.50 for the camera alone and $7.00 for the flash model.

Item is a folding camera for 5.7 x 8.25 cm (2.25" x 3.25") plate or sheet film. The camera was designed as the Nagel 18 by Dr. August Nagel for his company in Stuttgart Germany and renamed the Recomar 18 after the company was purchased by Kodak and became the German branch of Eastman Kodak: Kodak AG. Lens is a Kodak compur.

Item is a self-erecting folding camera for use with 620 film. Lens is a Kodak No. 1 Diomatic, f4.5 - f32.

Item is a typical folding 620 roll film camera - uses an inset mask to shoot 6 X 9 cm or 6 X 4.5 images. Shutter has no ID marking.
