Campbelton, Sugarloaf Senior High School

Side view, showing brick building set into the side of a hill. A note adhered to the verso gives the name, architect, owner, contractor and details about the judges' remarks for the building, which was submitted for a design competition.

Alton, Millcroft Inn

View of the rear of the building, a 4 storey brick structure with mansard roof and turret dating to 1881, overlooking a waterfall. A piece of paper has been taped to the back, indicating the building was entered in the 1977 Design Award Program for renovations converting the mill to a hotel.

Chatham, St. Anthony's Church

The main entrance to the square, concrete building is pictured. A frieze decorates one side of the doors while a statue of St. Anthony and child decorates the other. The entrance is accessible by a set of concrete steps. A circular stamp on back of photograph reads" F.J. Stalmach Architect/ Ontario Association Architects Member".

McBrian Island, Georgian Bay, F. S. Eaton House

View of the exterior of a residential structure built into a rocky landscape, with with exaggerated concrete columns for support. The accompanying paper contains a typescript report from the Canadian Housing Design Council awarding this house a National Design Award for 1969.

Burlington, Shopping Centre

View of a patio on the second storey of an outdoor shopping centre. A small sign in the window indicates that this space was leased by the Toronto Dominion Bank, probably as part of a branch office. The image is printed in Canadian Architect magazine's October 1958 issue [p.57], which profiled 7 shopping malls. This centre was constructed with a steel frame and flexcore slab floors, and a concrete foundation.

Interior view of the lobby area, looking out through the windows. The building was renamed the William Tamblyn Centennial Building in 2007. It houses the Faculty of Engineering as well as classrooms and science labs. The photograph is stamped with the photographer's name: Panda/Croydon Associates.

Montreal, Expo 67, Place d'Accueil

La Place d'Accueil is the main gate for Expo 67. A huge plaza of 2½ acres is on a middle level, above a bus station which is also used by taxis and the terminals of the Expo-Express and the Trailer Train which connects to Ci du Havre points.On the middle level, and on a third level, are information booths, travel offices, accommodation bureaux, shops, banks, a liquor store, restaurants, snack bars, lounges and a day hotel. There is a direct footway from the plaza to the International Broadcasting Centre. A striking architectural feature of the place is its roof -- in the shape of a huge umbrella. It is made up of seven plexiglass hexagons.

Collaborative Inc., Landscape Architects and Alfred Szeto Architect. Building was located at Finch Avenue, East of Kennedy Road in Toronto.

Don Mills, Southill Village

Interior and exterior views of a townhouse complex. Exteriors of the two and three storey buildings are pictured, as well as interiors. The housing plan was devised by Roy P. Rogers Enterprises Ltd. and based on the success of Chatham Village in Pittsburgh, USA, a planned community established in 1932 as a "social and economic demonstration." In Southill Village, the first unit type was two storey with a split-level entrance, the second was similar but the entrances are emphasized through two floors as a contrast. The third unit type had a flat roof and the last type was a split-level building which appears to be a one-storey building from the street.

Exterior views of high rise hotel constructed ca. 1957, located at 150 King Street West. It was replaced by the Toronto Stock Exchange Tower in 1983.
