Magazine Cyclone No. 5

Item is a black leather wooden box-style magazine camera for 4x5 inch plates. The camera has a meniscus lens, a time and instantaneous shutter, and two reflecting type viewfinders. This camera model was made by the Western Camera Manufacturing Company prior to 1899 when it became part of the Rochester Optical & Camera Company.

DeVry QRS Model K-1

Item consists of a brick-shaped brown plastic camera. It creates 40 24 x 32 mm exposures on 35 mm film in special cassttes. The camera uses a Graf Anastigmat f7/7/40 mm lens with a single-speed shutter that trips by counterclockwise motion on the winding crank.

Detective camera

Item is a wooden, leather-covered Waterbury Improved Detective Camera. The design is a simple box format with film holders accessed through a door at the rear, and shutter assembly inside the front of box. On the inside of the plate holder door, a sticker reads "Caution, This film must be developed before Jan. 1st, 1900."

Kodak Disc 8000

Item is a small, flat, hand-held camera with black plastic body and brushed metal, gold-coloured front plate. Intended by Kodak to replace their instamatic line of cameras, the Kodak Disc cameras were designed to be simple to use, with all automatic functions. Took Disc film, a proprietary format that made 15, 11 x 8 mm exposures; this small negative size made the resulting prints very grainy when enlarged and the camera model was not Kodak's most popular. Item has a built in flash and wrist strap. In plastic display original packaging. Uses HR disc.

Univex Model AF-4

Item is a subminiature vext-pocket folding camera for No. 00 rollfilm with an oxidized silver front plate and a Duo Achromatic lens. It originally sold for $1.95 which was less than it's predecessor's, the Univex Model AF-3, price of $2.50.

Fiarchild Aerial Camera

Item is a typical handheld camera using 5.7 inch roll film. The transport is by a built-in clockwork (one shot at a time) to be wound by a large lever at the left of the body to generate a flat film plane. Some suction is generated during exposure. Shutter is made by Ilex (Rochester NY) 1/125, 1/250, 1/500 sec.The lens is also by Ilex Optical Co - Paragon Anasigmat f6.3. Accessories include 1 38mm Yellow Filter and 2 Metal Slides.

View-Master Personal Stereo Camera

Item is a black stereo camera for making your own View-Master slides. Film was wound twice through the camera with lenses raised/lowered for each pass. The camera make 69 stereo pairs of 12 x 13 mm exposures. It features a matched view-master anastigmat f3.5/25 mm coated lenses and has a 1/10-1/100 shutter.

National Graflex Series II

Item is a black single lens reflex camera for 2.25" x 2.5" exposures on 120 rollfilm. Camera uses a B&L Tessar f3.5/75 mm lens and a focal-plane shutter. The series II has cable release, mirror set lever at operator's left of hood and a sliding ruby window cover.

Hilton's Virginia Street Casino

File contains three identical prints featuring an image of Hilton's Virginia Street Casino lit up at night. The casino operated from 1955 to 1978 and remained a casino-hotel-resort until 2008 when it opened as The Montage Reno, an upsacale contemporary high rise residential building. A caption included with the photographs reads: "A Reno marquee at night exposed using Ektar 1000 film in a Nikon F 3 camera equipped with a 15 mm Nikkor lens. The exposure was f/8 at 1/125 second."

Item has a cream card-frame embossed opening, with embossed letters "Potter's Patent March 7 1865." Which is how we dated the tintype. Photograph is a studio portrait of two women, both standing, side by side. Both women wear hats. One on left wears a dark shirtwaist, with a striped full skirt with hair tied neatly back and little bow at the neck. Woman on right has a dark dress, buttons down the front with a small white collar, in fashion in the 1860s. Her hair is shoulder lenght ringlets, also in fashion in the 1860s. Both have pink tinted cheeks.

American actress, burlesque performer. She is recorded as having performed in "Our Cinderella: A Burlesque" by William Gill in the Colville Company's 1878-9 season, and in "The Magic Slipper" for Haverley's Theater in New York in August 1879, produced by Samuel Colville's Opera Burlesque Company.

Tru-Vue viewer box set (Tru-Vue company)

Item is a brown plastic 3D viewer built with a push-down lever between the lenses. The lever is designed to rotate a reel containing three-dimensional black and white 35 mm acetate film manufactured by Tru-Vue Company. Images are inserted through the slot on the left side of the lenses. Item comes with square plastic windows to illuminate backs of transparencies on view. Once the film is circulated, it rewinds itself on the right hand side of the viewer. Item comes in original box with 4 original films depicting Pikes Peak Region and Depth Photography. Item also comes with instructions on how to use the Tru-Vue set and an additional business reply card with more instructions for the camera.

Seven Wonders of the World, View-master Reel

Item is a set of wheel type stereographs that depict the wonders of the world. Each wheel focuses on a different set of wonders: ancient, modern, or natural and the list describing what each wheel portrays is on the back of the packet. Also comes with a 16 page color illustrated booklet.

The Radioptican

Black with gold-trim picture and postcard consumer projector with adjustable telescopic lens. This model has two chimneys and two electric bulb fixtures. The Radioptican originally was made by the H. C. White Company of North Bennington, Vermont, that initially manufactured stereoscopes. In about 1915, the Keystone View Company took over production of the Radioptican, which continued to be widely used for educational purposes.

Sawyer's 3D view master

Item is a handheld view master manufactured by Swayer's Inc first introduced at the New York World Fair (1939-1940). Reel has 7 diametrical, 16 mm colour transparencies of Hollywood, California landmarks. The lever on the side of the viewer will rotate the reel one frame at a time once pressed. Originally this item was meant as an educational tool for adults but quickly became a popular children's toy. Item is made of plastic and metal. Reels are interchangeable and come with a variety of themes.

Electric view master stereoscope (model D)

Item is a brown handheld electric view master first manufactured by Swayer's Inc and first introduced at the New York World Fair (1939-1940). Once pressed down the lever on the side of the viewer will rotate the reel one frame at a time once pressed. Unlike previous view masters, this view master comes with a built in back light attached to an electrical cord. Once turned on the back light illuminates transparencies on view. Item is made of plastic and metal. Reel has 7 diametrical, 16 mm colour transparencies of The Atlas of Human Anatomy, Head and Neck.

Black cover and pages.Album manufactured in New York by F.L. Schafuss & Co. Photographs glued in. Handwritten notations in black ink. Includes panoramic photographs and one navigational chart for sailing. Some loose photographs.

Photographs are travel snapshots from a cruise aboard the S.S. Vigilancia, a steamship that traveled from New York to Vera Cruz, Mexico. There are photographs of the popular sites and activities in Cuba, Bahamas and Mexico, including bullfighting, shoe shining, street scenes, cattle ranches, restaurants, mahogany, rubber, cocoa and banana trees, canoeing, vendors, Pico de Orizaba, markets. cathedrals, monuments, etc.
Other notable photographs are of the interior of The Grand Hotel, Wreck of the USS Maine at Havana, Monument to Cubans executed by the Spanish at Fort Cabana, ox-carts, and horse-drawn trams. Photographs taken at The Sequential Great Bull Fight, Havana. Vera City Mexico, Frontera Tobasco Mexico, Monte Cristo, Balancan, San Carlos, Santa Margarita, Vega Canal, Calle de Mayo and Mexico City.

Consists of a large album with black and white photographs of a military base in Hawaii. Includes individuals and group shots of men in military uniforms, images of the landscape and military equipment and buildings, women on a beach and a partially nude woman posing for the camera.
