Sub-series is a collection of files collected and created by Donald L. Mordell during his presidency at Ryerson Polytechnical Institute.
Donald L. Mordell was the Ryerson President from 1970 to 1974. Files are mainly composed by reports, minutes of meetings, proposals, memos, general correspondence and other materials related to the president's office.

Fred Jorgenson files

Sub-series contains files created and collected by Fred Jorgenson during his presidency at Ryerson Polytechnical Institute. Fred Jorgenson was president at Ryerson from 1966 to 1969. Files are mainly correspondence and reports regarding the various departments operations, student services, staff and faculty requirements, committees and other issues related to the Office of the President.

Anthony Wilkinson's files

Sub-series contains files collected by Anthony Wilkinson during his interim position at Ryerson Polytechnical Institute. Anthony Wilkinson was the interim president of Ryerson from 1969-1970. His files consist mainly of reports and correspondence.

Howard Hillen Kerr files

Sub-series contains files created and collected by Howard H. Kerr during his presidency at Ryerson Institute of Technology. Howard H. Kerr was the president of Ryerson from 1948 to 1966.
Files are mainly correspondence, reports, awards, drawings and facilities and departments operations.

George Korey's files

Sub-series contains files collected and created by Dr. George Korey Krozeczowki during his time a Ryerson Polytechnical Institute. Dr. Korey was the acting president at Ryerson from 1974-1975. Files contain information on the Ryerson Pension Plan, liquor licence, scholarships and awards and other information regarding the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada, Ministry of Colleges and Universities and correspondence.

Walter Pitman's files

Sub-series contains files collected and created by Walter G. Pitman during his presidency at Ryerson Polytechnical Institute. Walter Pitman was Ryerson president from 1975 - 1980. Files contain reports, minutes of meetings, agreements, correspondence and other items related to Ryerson's operations.

File contains correspondence and the program of the Founder's Dinner. The dinner is sponsored by the Board of Governors, Ryerson Polytechnical Institute.

File contains correspondence regarding the incorporation of the name of Ryerson Polytechnical Institute into the name of the employee' credit union. It is also discussed the space and staffing of the new Ryerson Institute Employees Credit Union.

18/37 Athletics and Recreation

File contains information on a proposed physical education course 1966-67 year, correspondence regarding timetabling, expenditures, gym maintenance and other items related to athletics and recreation at Ryerson. One copy of the 1966-67 Ryerson Polytechnical Institute Intercollegiate Sports Program is included.

File contains a copy of the Daily Ryersonian of February 23, 1967 and correspondence regarding athletics at Ryerson.

Unsorted material

Series consists of materials transferred in the Archives holdings in the 1970s and left in piles on shelving units. No original order was apparent. After viewing materials it was discerned that the best course of action was to sort material by Ryerson President and then organize chronologically by their time in office.
The series has been divided into sub-series by President from 1948 to 1980. Presidents were: Howard Hillen Kerr, Fred Jorgenson, Anthony Wilkinson, Donald L. Mordell, George Korey and Walter G. Pitman.

President's Council records

File contains the President's Council records. It includes reports from the president, correspondence, agendas, a listing of the council members, and meeting minutes. It also includes reports on the Trimester system.

National Survival Institute files

File contains records related to the National Survival Institute. It includes newsletters, meeting minutes, agendas, correspondence, proposals, notices, brochures, publications, plans, reports, surveys, and a poster.

Lakehead University Silver Jubilee gift package

One gift package given to Ryerson University by Lakehead University. Gift comes in a nylon carrying case and includes: 'A Northern Vision - The Development of Lakehead University' (hard cover book 1987); a ballpoint pen; a desk calendar; and a lapel pin.

Convocation mortarboards

File consists of three blue velvet mortarboards with embossed gold trim and gold tassels. The sizes (7 1/8, 7 1/4, and 7 1/2) suggests that these were worn by Ryerson's presidents over the years.

The Ryerson Management weekend "Ryerson on the Edge of the Eighties" was held at the Ontario Staff Development Centre on Kempenfelt Bay, Lake Simcoe September 29 - October 1, 1978.
File contains a program of events, notes, draft reports and other materials related to the planning conference.

Jorgenson Hall Management conference

The Ryerson management conference was held October 13-14, 1972 on the 14th floor of Jorgenson Hall. Previous conferences had been held offsite and various resorts, but due to budget constraints it was held on campus for 1972.
File contains correspondence, information manuals and accompanying materials.
