This RG contains a collection of miscellaneous archival materials that had been brought into the archives over the years (and especially in the early days of operations) without being properly documented, appraised for selection, or accessioned. Rather than deaccession them, it was decided to retain them in the archives under this RG.

The William Kempa fonds contains materials created and collected by him during his time in the Public Health Inspection department at Ryerson as the director, chairman, instructor and professor in the course between 1967-1981. Also in the fonds are materials relating to his involvement in the International Association of Milk, Food and Environmental Sanitarians Inc., his time working in the City of Regina's Health Department as the Milk and Dairy Inspector, and his involvement in other organizations.
The fonds consists of materials from the School of Occupational and Public Health. Included are materials from all phases of the School's evolution - Sanitary Inspector's Course, Public Health Department, Environmental Health to the present day School of Occupational and Public Health.

The collection consists of a large number of studio portrait photographs from the late 19th and early 20th centuries in carte-de-visite or cabinet card formats. There is a large collection of landscape and industrial imagery dating from the Victorian era to the 1960s. The collection also comprises many vernacular photographic albums, good examples of glass and metal photographic processes including cased daguerreotypes, ambrotypes and tintypes. The fonds is comprised of the following 8 series: Portraits (sub-series for Groups and Celebrities), Vernacular Photography (amateur snapshots), Landscapes and Industry (sub-series for Slides), Albums, the A.T. Orr collection and a Miscellaneous group of images which were generally created in mixed media.

The Kodak Canada collection contains records and artifacts from the Kodak Heights manufacturing facility in Toronto, as well as the historical collection belonging to the Kodak Heritage Collection Museum. The collection consists of photographs, negatives, advertising records, magazines, pamphlets, daily record books, recipe books, cameras and other photographic equipment produced by Kodak Canada Inc., or other Kodak plants around the world. The collection includes a small selection of financial records, blueprints for Kodak facilities in Canada, and other corporate ephemera, as well as photographs of events, buildings and individual employees that illustrate the social life of the company.

Fonds consists of 12 "Canadian Kodakery" magazines dating from June 1916 to May 1917, 1 issue of "Kodak on the Farm" and 2 issues of "Kodak and Kodak Supplies" with 107 negatives interfiled between the pages. The magazines were used as an arrangement system for negatives of the Glencoe, Ontario area. The pages of the magazines have notes in the margins describing the subject of the negative stored at that page, and tabs have been cut out of the pages much like one would see tabs on a card index. Most of the negatives are consistent with the No. 122 roll film size but a few were taken with a smaller film format.
