Item is a survey report on the human resource practices of fourteen manufacturing companies in Toronto and its environs in 1938, including Canadian Kodak Co., Ltd. The survey contains information on "working hours, starting rates, minimum take-outs, average earnings, rate structure, employee relations, etc." and also details general policies on issues such as the hiring of married women.

Proposal and reports to organizational reform going into the 1980s

Ryerson's Board of Governors engaged Hickling-Johnston Limited in April 1979 to recommend an appropriate overall organizational structure enabling Ryerson to operate successfully in the 1980s.

Graduate survey

Report of a survey outlining the employment status and activities of Ryerson day school graduates. The survey was produced on a yearly basis from 1979 to 1984 and then discontinued until efforts were made to revive it in 1987. Difficulties arose, however, and the survey was not published. The next survey, conducted in 1989, was published in the summer of 1990. The most recent survey was done in 1996 by the Office of University Advancement and has been arranged under the Office of University Advancement RG 395.74. Access to the 1996 survey is restricted.

"Characteristics of ICE Questionnaires in the Ryerson Environment" was prepared by Dr. John Roth of the Psychology Department and submitted to the ICE Committee of Academic Council in May 1983. The aim of the report was to examine the feasibility of developing a reliable and valid student questionnaire to be used for instructor and course evaluations and to develop such an instrument should it prove feasible.

Recommendations and rationale for the encouragement and management of applied research and technical/creative services at Ryerson

The Committee on Applied Research at Ryerson was established by the Academic Council (later called the Senate) to review examine the benefits and negatives of applied research, look at other university research as reported in the media, and make recommenations for Ryerson to proceed. The report is dated November 6, 1979.
