The document provides an overview of CBC Television special, The Opening of Sky Dome: A Celebration, produced by Paddy Sampson. The celebrations included several special guest stars such as, Alan Thicke, Oscar Peterson, Theresa Pitt, Liberty Silver, Tommy Ambrose, Glass Tiger, David Clayton Thomas, Andre-Phillipe Gagnon and Andrea Martin. Guests also included Ontario Premier, David Peterson. The document also includes a history of Toronto's Waterfront, a feature on the Sky Dome start to finish including planning, architect, construction, winner who named the building and a list of sporting events. Also included is a feature on Canadian artist, Michael Snow, who designed "The Audience" sculpture situated on the balcony above the entrance to the Sky Dome. The Sky Dome is home of the Toronto Blue Jays of Major baseball League and Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League. It is located downtown Toronto situated to the CN Tower. In 2005 the Sky Dome and the Toronto Blue Jays were bought by Rogers Communications and the building was renamed the Rogers Centre. Sampson was the president of That's Show business Inc.

File contains news clippings about the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics. Publications include, Toronto Star, The New York Times, The Calgary Herald, Newsweek, and The Globe and Mail. Many of the reviews were positive although some criticized CTV as being less organized than ABC, both official Olympic broadcasting channels. Paddy Sampson was highly regarded for his work. He and his wide, Better Ladourette sold their Toronto home and moved to Calgary for thirty months so Paddy could oversee the Olympics project.

File contains a document detailing the Asian Games opening Ceremony (x2) and four newspapers profiling the 10th Annual Asian Games held in Seoul, Korea. Like many of the television segment schedules used to direct the show the opening ceremony is divided into three segments. Additionally, there is an explanation of performances. Newspaper titles include, Asian News (Friday, September 19th, 1986), The Korean Times (Sunday September 21st, 1986 x2 ) and The Korean Herald (Tuesday, September 23rd, 1986). The 10th Seoul Asian Games was then the biggest in Asia's 35-year history. The newspapers each feature the Ever Onward Olympic Council of Asia (since 1982) and SAGOC (Seoul Asian Games Organizing Committee) emblems both founded in 1982.

File contain nine sheets of photograph proofs from Henry Koro Commercial Photographers taken of musician and performers amongst the construction site of Expo '67 (Montreal, Quebec). The photo-shoot was documented the performers from Prelude to Expo which was part of an Oct. 19, 1966 broadcast on Music Canada. The Montreal concert featured the Oscar Peterson Trio, Marcel Carignan, Jean-Pierre Ferland, Pauline Julien, Gordon Lightfoot, Aldor Morin and Miriam Makeba. Jimmy Dale conducted the orchestra. The broadcast also included Vincent Warren of Les Grands Ballets Canadiens with choreography by Suzanne Verdal. The Expo 67 site was seen in the background which was still under construction at that time.Music Canada was a Canadian music television mini-series which eight episodes on CBC Television from 1966-67. The series featured various special productions of music and dance, from classical to modern styles. Expo 67 was the most spectacular of Canada's 100th anniversary celebrations. When the Montreal Universal and International Exposition of 1967 opened on April 27, it was a gleaming futuristic spectacle and a dazzling international success. On two giant islands in the St. Lawrence River more than 50 million visitors were presented with a vision of the future.

The Wolfman Jack Show [television series]

The U.S. disk jockey Wolfman Jack came to the greater public's attention in the 1973 film American Graffiti and as the announcer for the television rock concert series, The Midnight Special. His Howl Productions co-produced The Wolfman Jack Show with the CBC in Vancouver. The producers booked foreign performers as well as Canadian musical artists, such as the Stampeders and Bachman-Turner Overdrive, and was intended to give Canadian artists an avenue into an international market. The program also featured regular performances by the Famous People Players, and comedy with Danny Wells, Peter Cullen, and Sally Sales.
