The publication was launched in 1909 and was targeted toward professional photographers. File includes vol. 1, no. 1 (Mar. 1909) to vol. 21, no. 10 (Dec. 1929). The original name of the publication was Studio Light and the Aristo Eagle. The name was changed to Studio Light in February, 1910.

Graphic materials series

Series contains graphic materials related to the operations of Kodak Canada Limited including Blueprints and Plans, Kodak Advertising Materials, and Posters and Signs. Blueprints and plans document the establishment of Kodak facilities in Ontario, including historical blueprints of the Kodak King street plant, as well as early diagrams and cyanotype blueprints of the Kodak Heights property drafted by The Canadian Pacific Railway. Kodak Advertising Materials includes a group of 35 Ad Ledgers containing proofs for Kodak ad campaigns from 1920-1987. Poster and signage include a group of posters publicizing Kodak's The Techniques of the Masters Videoconference Series, early images of Kodak Heights operationas reproduced on large-scale foamcore boards, and Kodak advertising campaigns reprinted on foam-core boards for the Kodak Heritage Museum.

Sub-series contains records related to the production of internal and external corporate communications, public relations activities, and marketing between approximately 1900 and 2005. Kodak Canada's Communications department changed its name to Corporate Communications between 1982 and 1986, then changed it again to Corporate communications and Public Affairs in 1988. Records include notes, correspondence, advertising mock-ups and clippings, press releases and press kits, communications-related invoices, drafts of press releases, articles, and advertising copy, and other ephemera. Records pertain to the creation of advertising and publicity, event planning, community engagement, and corporate sponsorship. There was significant crossover between the activities and personnel of the Corporate Communications and Public Affairs department and those of the Kodak Heritage Collection and Museum, particularly surrounding Kodak Canada's centennial celebrations in 1999.

Records pertaining to television, magazine, and web-based advertisements

File contains records related to the production of television, magazine, and web-based advertisements. Documents include: drafts of advertising copy and dialogue; graphic mock-ups and storyboards; market testing documents; notes and correspondence; and cost invoices. Most records were created by Canadian firm Baker Lovick Advertising between 1975 and 1977, but file also contains advertising copy from J. Walter Thompson of New York and promotional material from Toronto-based firm Rostrum International Inc. soliciting business from Kodak for its digital communications services.

File contains press releases and press kits prepared by Kodak Canada's communications department and by external public relations firm, Fleishman Hillard, between 1982 and 2004. Press releases pertain to Kodak products and provide tips on various forms of photography and subject matter, as well as document events in Kodak Canada's corporate history, including the closing of its manufacturing operations in Canada. Kodak Canada's Communications department changed its name to Corporate Communications between 1982 and 1986, then changed it again to Corporate communications and Public Affairs in 1988. Between 1999 and 2004, the company began to enlist the services of public relations and marketing firm Fleishman Hillard.

Sub-sub-series contains documents used as reference material for Kodak Canada's Corporate Communications department and also potentially by the Kodak Canada Heritage Collection and Museum between approximately 1970 to 2005. Sub-sub-series contains articles photocopied from various publications or printed from websites, including articles published by Kodak--such as articles from Kodak magazine--and articles published externally. Sub-sub-series also includes: mission statements, organizational charts and other strategic documents for both Kodak Canada Inc. and Eastman Kodak Co.; print-outs and photocopies of Kodak Customer Service pamphlets; and reproduced advertisements and photographic images. Because the Corporate Communicatons department was closely associated with the Kodak Heritage Collection and Museum, a similar file of Museum Reference Material was likely also consulted by employees of Corporate Communications.

Series contains 24 photographic albums donated from Kodak Canada. Highlights include a series of 6 photograph albums documenting the construction of the first Kodak Heights buildings during the date range of 1913-1916 with indexes organizing the prints by building or site chronologically; these albums form a significant primary resource on industrial construction in the early 20th century.

Also included in the series are several family photograph albums spanning the range of 1920-1950 that portray recreational and family life in Southern Ontario as well as WWI subject matter; and a group of Kodak company albums documenting employee events, vacations, and social parties at Kodak.

Includes early photo-booth images as well as a variety of snapshots documenting family life and recreational activities throughout rural Ontario in the early twentieth century. The inside title page contains a handwritten inscription, "Earle G.[?] :omdsau, Christmas 1915."

Volume I vacation post cards & "things" from 1961 to 1968

Binder contains photographs and postcards from various Canadian Kodak Company employees vacations. Photographs and postcards are adhered to hole punched pages with typed text captions stating the name of the employee, the date, and location of the trip along with transcribed annotations from the employee's correspondence.

The binder also includes 1.25 cm of textual records in the form of reprographic copies of the binder's pages as well as a Print File Preserver containing loose photographs and miscellaneous correspondence materials.

Each gelatin silver photograph is the same size and contains an inscribed caption in the lower right corner of each print. This album includes images of the construction of Kodak Heights buildings no. 1,3, 5, 7 as well as bridges, mechanical equipment and roads on the property.

Kodak Canada Inc. ground breaking ceremony

Item is an album of 6 colour photographs documenting a ground breaking ceremony held at Kodak Heights on July 21, 1986. The ceremony marked the beginning of a construction project that constituted part of the Toronto Expansion Program, in which Kodak Canada closed its Brampton manufacturing facilities and expanded Kodak Heights, the company's property at Eglinton Avenue and Weston Road, Toronto, Ontario. The ceremony was presided over by Ronald Morrison, then-president and general manager of Kodak Canada.

File contains black and white negatives featuring images of Kodak products piled as Christmas presents, such as the Instamatic M4 and the complete Super 8 home movie oufit, beneath a 'Season's Greetings' picture with hand drawn signs that have slogans like 'open me first' or 'gift idea'.
