Recognition and Awards are organized by the Ceremonial Office. They are divided under three headings with various awards for each.

All of the awards are celebrated at an annual Ryerson Awards night, but there are also smaller events held in conjunction with the various awards held before the annual ceremony. The recognition and awards series has been divided by year.

Item is a compact point and shoot 35mm camera. It is equipped with it's 38-115mm autofocus zoom lens with macro function at the 115mm end and pre-programmed shooting modes such as double-exposure mode, burst-mode and portrait. This model offers a mechanical "Panorama" mode by putting a horizontal mask over the filmframe.

Item is a small format camera for 35mm exposures on 127 film. The kit includes a carrying case, Soligor MK-4 electronic flash, 3 Konica Hexanon lenses (135mm F3.5, 28mm F3.5, 50mm F1.7), lens hood, 4 lens filters, and Konica extension tube.

Item is a black bellows and leather covered folding camera, for 2.5" x 4.25" exposures on No. A116 Autographic film. The camera features a Kodak Anastigmat f7.7/130 mm lens and a ball bearing shutter.

Item is a subminiature camera from the Minolta series, with detachable dedicated electronic flash, carrying case, presentation case, strap and lens filters. Many accessories were available for this model, including a slide projector, enlarger, and laboratory equipment.

The Ryerson Rambler was the magazine was the alumni magazine from 1963-1997.

2 copies of "The Toronto Normal School 1847-1897 Jubliee Report. Report contains information on the celebrations held October 31 - November 2, 1897; biographical sketches, graduate and faculty lists and other information.

"Kodak Canada - the early years (1899-1939) was an exhibit mounted by the students in the Film and Photography Preservation and Collections Management program. Drawing from the Ryesron University Library Special Collections Kodak Canada Corporate Archives and Heritage Collection, the exhibit explored the development of the Kodak empire in Canada in the first half of the 20th century. The exhibit ran January 23 - February 24, 2019.

"The Optics of Science - Early Western Stereographs from the Dr. Martin J Bass and and Gail Silverman Bass collection" was an exhibit mounted by the students in the Film and Photography Preservation and Collections Management program. The Optics of Science presented late 19th and early 20th century stereographic cards and supplementary material from the Bass Collection, part of The Image Centre’s holdings. "The exhibition and accompanying publication focus on representations of Western science and related knowledge at a time of unprecedented and rapid industrial, social, and geographical change. Comprising medical, clinical, anthropological, astronomical, and spirit photographs, the selection highlights the technical and historical intricacies associated with looking at images often entangled with colonial legacies" (https://theimagecentre.ca/exhibition/optics-of-science) The exhibit ran September 14 - October 22, 2022.

This file contains the University magazine published twice a year by the Office of University Advancement.

The magazine Alumni Relations publishes for the alumni started in 1962 as, The Rambler.

Alumni Relations felt the magazine needed to prominently show the school name in the masthead. With the Spring 1997 issue, the name changed to "Ryerson Magazine". The magazine was to be more than just an alumni affairs journal -- it was also to be used to help recruit new students and to communicate with university associates.

The next two issues, Spring 2001 and Fall 2001 were entitled, "Ryerson University the magazine".

Quickly another rename called the magazine, " Alumni magazine" with the Winter 2002/03. This name was used until the Winter 2010 issue.

In January 2011 a redesign gave another name, "Ryerson University Magazine, for Alumni and Friends". It is current and ongoing.

In April 2022 the University changed its name to Toronto Metropolitan University, so with the Summer 2022 edition the magazine changed its name to Toronto Met University Magazine.

The International Issues Discussion (IID) series is a student-led forum designed to engage all members of the university community on major events and issues in contemporary global affairs through reasoned, objective, and scholarly discourse. It is a strictly non-partisan, unaffiliated, and apolitical group that welcomes all students to get involved and further their understanding of the world today.The IID was founded in 2005 by two Ryerson students and two faculty members, Dr. Arne Kislenko (History) and Dr. Dale Carl (Business). Moore, faculty in the Department of Sociology, was involved in the conference's organization.

"Soon we were enroute again..." the Margaret Corry Albums (1947-1963) was an exhibit mounted by the students in the Film and Photography Preservation and Collections Management program with the Margaret Corry photograph albums held by the Royal Ontario Museum, courtesy of the Family Camera Network. The exhibit ran January 24 - April 18, 2018.

The Art of the Archive exhibit that ran September 29, 2012 to December 22, 2012. The exhibit contained works by current students and alumni from the Image Arts program.
