Item is a small novelty film camera that is disguised as a railroad pocket watch, first produced into early 1900's and sold until 1939. The exposure is made through the winding stem and the winding knob serves as a lens cap, and required special film cartridges. The camera is relatively common, as it was marketed for so long and several variations exist in the "Expo" trademark style, the winding knob, and the viewfinder shape. Black, red, blue enameled versions produced about 1935 are rarer. Item has its original box and triangular viewfinder, but the lens cap is missing.

Item is a cabinet card photograph of a young woman with blue collar overpainted, affixed to yellow cardstock. On verso, in black letterpress, centred: "L. ROBIRA,/ Late with Theo. LILIENTHAL./ Photographer,/ 245 ROYAL STREET,/ NEW ORLEANS./ Duplicates may be had at any time." In purple pen, handwritten above: "L. Carey/ April 25, 1886". And at top left corner, handwritten in pencil, "400".

Colour image of the Bird of Spring Sculpture in its original location on Dundas Street. The sculpture is one of a series of 4 sculptures by the artist Etungat, and it and the Devonian pond on campus were created through funding by the Devonian Group of Charities.

Item is a camera that includes a quick change film holder, which holds 5 or 6 sheets of film in individual magazines to allow for fast reloading.

Item is a knob-advance twin lens reflex camera for 4 x 4 cm exposures on 127 format film. More compact than other twin lens reflex cameras, with a smaller negatives, the Grey Body has a Xenar f3.5 lens with a Syncrho compur shutter. The camera comes in a gray leather case and is equipped with an ultra violet Waltz filter and a lens hood.

Item is a cabinet card featuring an image of Princes Friedrich Wilhelm and Eitel-Friedrich posed in a studio portrait in which they appear in a row boat outside.

Item is a photograph adhered to cream-coloured card with gold letterpress. Text at bottom reads "L. L. Christmas/ 104 STOKE NEWINGTON Rd. N/ (OPPOSITE PRINCE GEORGE Rd.)". Photograph is of a maid holding a tray with a teacup and pots of cream and sugar. Studio backdrop with palm fronds. On verso of card, decorative gold stamp with floral motif and the photographer's name and address repeated, with the additional information: "Alexandra Studios" and "NEGATIVES KEPT EXTRA COPIES CAN ALWAYS/ BE HAD BY SENDING NAME."

Item is an ambrotype photograph in a velvet-lined thermoplastic union case, showing a male sitter in front of a studio backdrop. The case was intended for use with 1/4 plate daguerreotypes, as indicated by the manufacturer's stamp on the inside back cover beneath the ambrotype plate: "Littlefield, Parsons & Co.,/ MANUFACTURERS OF/ Daguerrotype Cases./ L., P. & Co., are the sole/ Proprietors and only legal Manu-/ facturers of UNION CASES, with the/ Embracing Riveted Hinge./ Patented October 14, 1856,/ and April 21, 1857."

Item is a wood frame covered in red paper with gold details, with ambrotype held in place with brass matt and brass preserver. Ambrotype is a portrait of three women, sitting on a bench outside, in front of what looks to be a boat on shore. All three wear elaborate hats, with long dresses and white collars, and their hands in their laps. All three look directly at the camera. Ambrotype is a single sheet of glass, the ashphaltum was painted directly overtop the collodion surface and so it is only one piece of glass with no need for a cover glass.

Title taken from card-frame. The bull in the picture with the name Ferdinand on the card-frame could be referencing the children story of Ferdinand The Bull from 1935, made into a cartoon in 1938 by Walt Disney - this would potentially date the image from after 1938. The tintype is an image of a bull with a man sitting on its back, arms in the air and holding two guns. Another man stands beside the bull, in sunglasses and a hat. They seem to be standing on a beach.

Item is an unmounted studio portrait of a man sitting and a woman standing with her hand on his shoulder. The man sitting rests an arm on the table and one in his lap. The woman is wearing a dress with layers in fashion during the 1870s. Her hair is tight curls fringing her head in fashion after 1876. The studio backdrop is of an interior. The man's feet are crossed. A book rests on the table. All four corners are angled off.

Item is an unmounted studio portrait of a woman sitting with her elbows on the armrest, and her hands up to her face. Her hair is in keeping with the fashion after 1876, of close crop curls on forehead. She wears a bracelet with a charm on each wrist, and a ring on her finger. The studio backdrop is of an interior, and there is a fur carpet underneath the chair.

Item is an unmounted studio portrait of a woman standing, and a man sitting. The woman is turned to the man, who is facing the camera. She is holding a book and he is sitting with his legs crossed, one hand on his lap, and the other on the armrest. The studio backdrop is of a tree. Her dress with the bustle and slim sleeves and her soft curly bangs are in keeping with fashion of the 1880s. All four corners of the tintype are angled off.

Item is a cream card with photograph of a well dressed black man. On verso, a long text in black letterpress followed by a purple stamp at the bottom reading "C.A. Stacey, Artist./ Over 56 Main Street,/ Medina, New York." The text is a brief biography of Richard Gordineer, a slave born to a Mohawk Dutchman and a black woman, who was freed in 1825 along with all the slaves in New York state. He was an excellent baker, and was regularly employed as a whitewasher until he lost all his savings in 1862. Gordineer died on December 11, 1884.
