2 Darkroom lights

Item consists of two darkroom lights. Each has a wooden base holding a metal cylinder that surrounds a darkroom bulb. The power cord is thread through the wooden base to connect to the bulb. Only one still has a bulb. The inside of both metal cylinders has been painted white.

August Sander symposium

File consists of audio recordings of a symposium on the topic of German documentary and portrait photographer August Sander, held in the Image Arts Department at Ryerson University in 1982. Speakers include: central European historian István Deák; curator Ute Eskildsen; photographer, theorist and critic Alan Sekula; and art critic Rosalind Krauss.

Item consists of 2 audio cassettes of a talk American photographer Barbara Norfleet gave about her work. The lecture took place at Ryerson University as part of the Kodak Chair Lecture Series.

Black and white 35mm transparencies

Item consists of 52 black and white transparency copy slides of photo-historical images for teaching. The slides are all in metal housings, made in Switzerland by Perro Color, US Pat. 2919840. They are individually numbered in black ink with a 4 digit number on white sticker labels, but there is no index to go with the slides.

Canadian Perspectives exhibition and photographer slides

File contains about 600 colour slides taken during the exhibition held in the Image Arts building during the Canadian Perspectives Conference on Canadian photography, as well as images of artwork by Canadian photographers presenting and discussed during the conference. Canadian perspectives: a national conference on Canadian photography

Series contains the audio recordings, slides and transcript publication related to the conference on Canadian photography, hosted by Ryerson Polytechnical Institute, Photographic Arts Department, Toronto, in 1979. 23 presentations were recorded, with the categories: "Canadian Photography-Historical Perspectives", "Regional Overviews of Contemporary Canadian Photography", "Support Systems", and "Studying Photography". Canon BC-60N Battery Charger

Item consists of a Canon BC-60N battery charger. It has an input of AC 120V 60Hz 110mA, and an output of DC 12V 350mA. There are two lights on the top to indicate if the battery is charging or if the charge is complete.

Item consists of a Cine-Kodak Duo Spicer Outfit complete with film cement, containers, an envelope of mounting screws and strips of practice film, and splicer. Missing applicators. For 8mm and 16mm movies, buth sound and silent.

Item consists of an Eastman Studio Scale. It has a wooden base, a 6 piece weight set and a plaque that reads Avoirdupois Weight. It was used to facilitate the mixing of chemicals in a photographer's dark room.

Item consists of 6 audio cassettes featuring a recording of a lecture given by American documentary photographer Eugene Richards. The talk took place in the Image Arts Department as part of a series of nine lectures and five workshops that took place in 1981-1982.

Item consists of a Griswold Film Splicer Model R-3 from Jefferson, New York. The serial number is 7065. It was made by Neumade Products Corp., New York, N.Y. Factory, Buffalo N.Y. The body is made of cast iron. For 35mm film.

Kodachrome Stereo Transparencies

Item consists of 80 Kodachrome and Anscochrome stereo colour transparencies, fragments of developed 35mm colour film, 3 35mm slides, and 1 paper index in a blue case with the wordds Busch Verascope on a plate on the front. Images are snapshots of family, sports games, landscapes, The Canadian Pacific Railway, the Canadian Rockies. boating, beaches, Arowhon Pines, Lake Mistassini, New York City, and various fur fasions being modeled.

Kodak 500 Projector

Item consists of a Kodak 500 Projector. It was the considered the most portable Kodak projector yet, weighing just over 4 kilograms and featuring a self-contained carrying case. This item has a Kodak Readymatic Changer system that could hold up to 36 slides, but the Kodak 500 Projector was also made with a metal automatic magazine changer that stored up to 30 slides, allowing purchasers to choose their preferred slide-handling system.

Kodak B-C Flasholder

Item consists of a Kodak B-C Flasholder. It features a 22.5-volt battery-condenser system for dependable flash synchronization and can be used with most flash-synchronized cameras, such as the Brownie Six-20 models.

Kodak Brownie Movie Projector Model I

Item consists of a Kodak Brownie Movie Projector, the first model. The projector was manufactured from October 1952 to February 1955. It is for 8mm film, has an f/2 lens, and a max reel of 200 ft. It originally marketed for $62.50. It has a brown metal and plastic body with a removable protective cover that has an operation manual laminated inside.
