Students of Al Saxe Studio

Sub-series consists of a students' membership meeting notice for student rehearsals and social get-togethers of an amateur theatre group, Al Saxe Studio, called Play Actors. Al Saxe, an acting coach, actor and director from New York, ran his studio in Toronto for a few summers in the 1950s. The student group arranged to meet at 380 Victoria Street, between Gould and Gerrard streets, part of a city block that was purchased in the latter part of 1960s and re-developed by Ryerson Polytechnical Institute. The donor's mother, Isabel Bevis, was involved with the group between 1953-1958.
