Photography : Vital tool in reaching the moon / A Kodak exhibit

A portfolio with 12 images of the moon landing produced to exhibit "some of the photographic highlights along the United States' path to the moon." The portfolio is accompanied by a letter dated February 9, 1970 from Canadian Kodak Sales Limited (no addressee) and an additional 5 photographs taken with Kodak Ektachrome EF film by astronaut Neil Armstrong on July 16, 1969.

Making the invisible visible [information flyer]

X-ray radiograph images republished on an information flyer with a brief description of the materials being reproduced. Photographs of the Dead Sea scrolls were taken using Kodak Infrared Film, and were provided by the Palestine Archeological Museum of Jerusalem for reproduction in the flyer.

Looking through gold [information flyer]

X-ray radiograph image republished on an information flyer with a brief description of the material being reproduced. A photograph of the sarcophagus of King Tutankhamon was provided by the Laboratories of the Louvre Museum for reproduction in the flyer.

The discovery of x-rays

A copy of the x-ray radiographic image of Wilhelm Conrad Rontgen's wife's hand, taken in 1895, and reproduced in 1970 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the discovery of x-ray imaging. The copy was made on Kodak RP/D X-OMAT Radiograph Duplicating Film. A piece of paper accompanying the image gives details of its creation.

T.F. Pevear's cottage picture album

A letter folded into the album cover, addressed to Mr. Gordon Hamblin at Canadian Kodak, Ltd. describes the content of the album as a weekend at Mr.T. F. Pevear's cottage near Rochester, NY, where Mr. Hamblin visited while attending a meeting at the Eastman Kodak Company.

Kodak Pioneers' Night programmes

On both programmes, there is a page on the back for autographs which is mostly filled with signatures. The Kodak Pioneers honoured those employees who had completed 25 years service with Kodak.

Kodak law enforcement workshop ruler

Grey plastic 16cm ruler with "Kodak Law Enforcement Workshop" printed on the back. Rochester's Eastman Kodak company began running a Law Enforcement Workshop in it's Marketing Education Centre in 1954. Law enforcement officials would learn the application of photography for law encforcement including basic printing and processing, surveillance hardware and techniques, cime laboratory techniques, motoin picture and radiography applications.

KCI Centennial / Kins Launch

Item contains colour photographs and negatives of the Canadian Kodak Centennial Kolorkins drop, May 6th, 1999. During this event, hundreds of Kodak Kolorkins (promotional soft toys in bright colours developed by Kodak in the 1990's) were dropped from a helicopter over the Toronto Kodak complex. Photos include images of Toronto mayor Mel Lastman making a speech.

Kodak 100 year anniversary plate

Item is a commemorative plate, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Kodak company. Plate features a bas relief of a Brownie advertisement and is inscribed "A 100-year start on tomorrow". Manufactured by Wilton Armetale in Columbia, Pennsylvania.

Leslie Sparks

Lesley Sparks began working at Kodak as a summer student from 1968-1978, working in every department of Marketing & Sales until she became the first TSR for the Special Products division of Graphics Markets in 1978 until 1984. Lesley came back as a contractor in 1987 working in the Marketing Information Systems department mainly with Consumer Markets and then with Copy Products. Finally, Lesley worked as the School programs Director, working with High School through the Focus on Education Program, organizing exhibitions and events highlighting high school student's photographic work. Records in this series were amassed during Lesley Sparks' time at Kodak, and include documents, promotoinal materials, with a predominance of records on the Focus on Education program.
