The foil lamp is stamped 1936 and one of the wire lamps gives a date range of 1928-46 for the patent on the design.

The letters "TXP" are stamped repeatedly on the paper, along with the word "Kodak" in red. TXP typically refers to Kodak Tri-X Panchromatic black and white negative films. The only Tri-X films produced in a medium format roll with the designation 'TXP' is a 320 ISO in 120 and 220 sizes.

The review included glee club performances, theatrical acts and minstrel shows. The minstrel performances included several white performers in blackface.

Minstrel shows are a style of variety show, most popular during the late 19th and early 20th century, in which white performers use make-up and costumes to depict racist and stereotypical caricatures of Black people. The genre originated in the United States, but Canada had its own troupes and touring companies, and the format was popular with schools, community groups, and religious organizations.

Album belonged to a nurse from Alexander Ontario who served in Cuba during the Spanish-American War. Some are amateur travel photographs and some appear to be taken with the purpose of being sold as a souvenir, featuring text.
Included are images of Havana, the coast, harbour, buildings, monuments, etc; the Red Cross Building, a U.S. hospital, a man dead on a stretcher, bullfights, and locals. Possibly a photo of Theodore Roosevent delivering the U.S. Soldiers.
