Group portrait of a family, against painted landscape

Photograph of a family group with two boys in matching pinstriped suits and wide collars seated in front of a man in a dark suit with high white collar and a woman in white blouse belted at the waist and a dark skirt. Behind them, a painted landscape scene with a white bar obscuring part at the very top. The photograph is mounted flush with a postcard backing. On verso, the text "POST CARD" is followed by a line delineating space for "CORREPSONDENCE" on the right and "ADDRESS ONLY" on the left. Handwritten upside down in purple ink, "With Compliments/ of the Season." and a small black "x" beneath that.

[Sunbeam boat]

Cyanotype image of a boat with the name Sunbeam. Boat is docked in a river, with a group of men (facing away from camera) out front, and another woman in the background. Boat is two levels, looks like there are people on top level. Wood cabins on opposite shore in background. Very thin paper.

Stereocards

Six companies manufactured these stereocard image pairs: one child and tricycle by E. & H. T. Anthony & Co.; eight landscapes by B. W. Kilburn; one landscape by Keystone View Company; one hand-coloured greenhouse view by Underwood & Underwood, Publishers; two hand-coloured garden views by Webster & Albee, Publishers; and one hand-coloured half-tone seascape, uncredited.

E. & H. T. Anthony & Co., 591 Broadway, N.Y.

Garden and townscape

Image is of a hillside garden in summer--treetops, smokestacks, and rooftops stretch to the horizon. The thin frame is gold-painted wood, with glass, and on the back a sticker reads "Stedman's Book Store Limited, Brantford, Picture Framing and Fine Stationary."
