Biographical history

Huu Doan is a professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Ryerson University. Doan joined the faculty in 1997 as an assistant professor, becoming an associate professor in 2004, and a professor in 2010. Doan received his BEng from Ryerson, his MSc from Guelph University, and his PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto. In addition to these credentials, Doan has earned his PEng, MAIChE, and MCIC. His research interests include: mass transfer and liquid distribution in a packed bed; bio-adsorption of heavy metals and other contaminants; electrochemical, photochemical and chemical treatment of industrial wastewater containing heavy metals and organics; membrane process application in wastewater treatment, membrane fouling.
