Two copies of a paper written by Donald Gillies for the 3rd Guelph Symposium on Computer Mediated Communication. The symposium was held May 15-17, 1990 at the University of Guelph.

Item is a cream coloured gold edged cabinet card. Photograph affixed with woman in velvet jacket with elaborate lace neckline, leaning against flower-covered rock in studio setting with birch trees painted on a backdrop. She holds a copy of Picturesque Canada Vol II and displayed to the right are a cabinet card, a conch shell and a straw hat with flowers. On verso, in red ink, an artist's palette and brushes are depcited with the text "95/ Windham St./ Guelph/ Marshall."

On the lower right, the photographer's studio is identified as "The O'Keefe's/ Guelph, Ontario". Two of the portraits are duplicates. The third portrait is identified as "Jennie". Each card has a piece of glassine tissue covering the photo inside.
