A collection of advertising artwork for the T. Eaton department store, consisting of: newspaper-sized finished pages (black wash on tracing paper); actual full-page newspaper advertisements; and miscellaneous tracings and proofs of varying sizes. Most of the material relates to Eaton's College Street store, the company's flagship location for many years, and depicts departmental sales and promotions, fashion, home furnishings, Christmas, special events and the store's various anniversaries on College Street.Noel Hainsworth was a layout artist with Eaton's for about 40 years and this collection was passed on to his son, Fred Hainsworth, a Ryerson alumnus (Electronics '54) and fomer faculty member from 1971 to 1996.
