Item consists of a photograph mounted on light grey card with dark grey borders. Image shows a group of ment standingon the steps to a light brick building. Five certificates received by May Ferguson under her maiden name, Reeves. One of the certificates is an admission certificate to a "Collegiate Institute, High School or Continuation School" whereas the remaining certificates are kindergarten/public schoolteacher's certificates. Access program for multi-racial students enter Human Service fields

The program offered through Continuing Education at Ryerson was created jointly by Ryerson and the Access Action Council and was funded by the Ontario Ministry of Colleges and Universities.
Files contain correspondence, financials, course brochures, meeting minutes, notes, proposals, Progress Report to Ministry of Colleges and Universities Government of Ontario, and Proposal for a Conference in Improving Accessibility in Post Secondary Institutions For Visible Minority and Ethno Specific Students in Ontario.

A Proposal to Establish a Language Centre, Preliminary Report

The title proper of the report in this file is, Preliminary Report of the English Department Language Committee, A Proposal to Establish a Language Centre.

The Language Committee assessed and proposed a language and writing centre, centralized to better serve students' access to language and writing skill courses, as well as English as a Second Language (ESL) at the academia level.

The committee submitted the preliminary report to the Dean of Arts, Dr. Errol Aspevig.

FORUM newsletter, 1994-2009

Over the years, the FORUM newsletter was published weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, bi-weekly, and, finally only six issues per year. Topics included Ryerson news, staffing updates, and staff and alumni notices. The publishing schedule was changed in 2006 to a calendar year from the academic year. The October 2005 issue was the last hard copy and a solely digital format was was released with the next print in 2006. Tthe FORUM was discontinued in 2009 and replaced with a new newsletter, Ryerson Today, on October 19, 2009 distributed via email notification and a link to the webpage. This series contains volumes 20 - 30 and then newsletters from 2006-2008.

The photographic image, created in the early to mid 1980s, shows three Hospitality and Tourism students using recently donated computer equipment as part of a front office hotel computer system from Delta Hotels, the Sheraton Corporation, and Electronic Engineering Company of California Inc. (EECO). The name of the training lab appears in the background.

Pin has laurel leaf pattern across bottom with filagree across the top surrounding a round metal disk inscribed with "Central Business College Toronto" around a typewriter. The back of the pin is inscribed "Awarded to Helen Carruthers Dec 1900".

Item consists of a 2-volume compilation of the proceedings of the International Conference Linking Research and Practice, produced by the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, edited by David Corson and Stephen B. Lawton. The conference was sponsored by Kodak Canada Inc. and the report was "produced using Kodak Graphic Arts Products." Kodak Canada president, Ronald Morrison, wrote the foreword to each volume.
