Biographical history

Thomas J. Leatherdale operated a photography studio under his own name, from 1898-1906, that was first located at 147 King St E, and later moved to 52 King St W, Hamilton, Ontario. In 1910 he opened a studio at 32 1/2 Yonge Street, Toronto, Ontario that was susceded by Miss Margaret Leatherdale from 1921 onwards.

Custodial history

Portrait donated to the Wellesley Archives in June of 1980 by Mrs. Holland (Carol Moorehead).

Scope and content

Portrait of Dr. Andrew S. Moorehead, a physician in Toronto. His daughter, Carol Moorehead graduated from The Wellesley Hospital School of Nursing in 1946.
