Biographical history

Donna Smith is a professor at The Ted Rogers School of Management in Retail Management. She is a former Associate Dean for the Faculty of Communication & Design, was vital to the School of Retail Management’s creation, and was appointed as the school’s first director in 1999.

Donna Smith is a Professor in the Ted Rogers School of Retail Management at Ryerson University. Smith holds a Doctor of Business Administration from Henley Business School, University of Reading, UK and a BA and MBA from McGill University. From 2006 to 2008, Smith was President of the American Collegiate Retailing Association, a global network of university professors who teach and conduct research in retailing. From 2003 to 2006, she was Associate Dean of the Faculty of Communication & Design at Ryerson University, and from 1998 to 2003, she was the first Director of the School of Retail Management. In September 2010, Smith won the Best Paper Award in the Doctoral Colloquium at the International Colloquium in Relationship Marketing in Henley-on-Thames, England. Her research interests include retailer-vendor strategic partnerships and the shopping behaviour of female fashion shoppers in shopping centre environments.

Fonds consists of one study and one book containing a chapter authored by Smith.
