Biographical history
K. Donald Tham is a Professor and Industrial Internship Program Coordinator in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at Ryerson University. Tham earned his BSc (Hons.) in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Mumbai, his BTech in Industrial Engineering and Computer Science from Ryerson, his MSc in Management Sciences from the University of Waterloo, and his PhD in Information Systems from the University of Toronto. Over twenty-five years, he has been a consultant to governmental, legal agencies and multi-national corporations in Canada, USA, Australia, Japan, India, and China in the areas of industrial engineering, management consulting and labour-management arbitration related processes. He has contributed to several refereed proceedings of conferences, and has been an invited and contributing speaker at international conferences and executive seminars in Europe, China, India, Middle East and North America. He is the Education Chair and Roundtable Officer of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP, USA) and serves on the Advisory Board of the Logistics Quarterly, Canada. He is involved with community work with the Toronto Homes for the Aged. Donald is President and Co-founder of Nulogy Corporation, Toronto, Canada and is recognized in the Who's Who - Industry Veterans in the logistics and supply chain professionals directory. His research interests include enterprise modeling, ontological engineering, knowledge based information systems, labour management, strategic and tactical cost management for supply chain management and contract packaging vertical.
