Biographical history
Don Gibb is a Professor Emeritus in the School of Journalism at Ryerson University. Gibb was a graduate of the School in 1968. He began teaching at Ryerson after 20 years as a reporter, editorial writer and city editor with The London Free Press. During his tenure at Ryerson, Gibb conducted writing, editing and coaching seminars across the country. He was named Ryerson’s Professor of the year in 2001. He received a second teaching award in 2006, the same year he was honoured by the Canadian Association of Journalists for his outstanding contribution to Canadian journalism. Gibb retired from Ryerson in August 2008.
