Kodak commercial advertising photographs

Commerical photographs: one still life of a tea set, one advertising a fisher price camera for children - the image is of three children (two boys and a girl) and a note with the photograph reads "Put a camera in the hands of children and sharpen your own view of the world. The Fisher-Price camera was designed for younsters in the five-to-eight-year-old group". Four are head shots of a young man wth a mohawk. Two are of Grey Line red double decker buses with Kodak advertising on the side of the buses. Two are studio shots of Kodak cameras with boxes of Kodak film. One is of men in the middle of a soccer game, this photograph includes a note that reads "Participants in the 1986 Kodak 'Run for the Money' color reporduction contest will be working from this colorful sports action photo in their attempts to accurately reproduce the image for the ninth annual Kodak 'Run for the Money." Other images are still lifes of coloured umbrellas, chalk, and casino lights taken at night. As well as two commercial 'beauty' shots of two women.

Kodak promotional panoramic mountain view

File contains a panoramic mountain view. Enclosed with the print is a caption that reads: "A panoramic vista snapped with the new Kodak Stretch 35 camera. A great travelling companion!" The Stretch 35 was a 35 mm single-use camera loaded with 12 frames of Kodacolor Gold 200. It was manufactured during 1989.

Item contains a collection of 20 pins, in groups of 5, attached to leather strips, with the remaining pins in individual plastic bags. Barn raising, boating, and other outside pursuits

These photographs share few similarities in image content besides all being taken out-of-doors. Four images show a barn raising, and sixteen images are of boats, including the "Stoney Lake" and the "Modello." One photograph is of a man in a wheatfield--written on verso is "What do you think of this for Western Wheat 10 mi.'s from Regina?" The other photograph written on verso is of a man and an airplane--"Douglas Lindsay out on the Sask. River Jan. 15 / 36 at Prince Albert where the fish bask from Leechee (sp?) Rouge is situated."

Photographs are amateur family snapshots taken at various locations including houses and a log cabin. There are landscapes and pictures of the family and children participating in various activities, including fishing, canoeing, horseback riding, and other cottage types of activities. There are also images taken in a photobooth, and photos of the family dog.

Photographs consist of cartes de visite, cabinet cards and tintypes and are either loose or glued onto the pages. Some have captions written in fading white ink.

Award of Excellence - Canadian Tire

Item is a wooden plaque engraved with the words: "THE AWARD OF EXCELLENCE" above a smaller brass plaque adhered at the base of the wood that is engraved "1997 / KODAK CANADA INC." Beside the plaque the Canadian tire logo is carved into the plaque. Beneath the brass plaque are the words "CANADIAN TIRE CORPORATION, LIMITED", also engraved into the wood. The centre of the wooden plaque has an image of a Canadian Tire store engraved behind an image of a handshake. Log Focus Revolving Back Conley Model XV

Item is a folding dry plate camera with Wollensak lens, f2.5-16, Conley Safety Shutter 1 - 1/1000 sec. Mahogany and nickel construction with brown leather finish and red bellows. The Conley Camera company was based in Rochester Minnesota and frequently sold via the Sears mail order catalogue. The double-extension bellows allow for The date of 1907 printed on the camera refers to a Patent date, not the production date of the camera, which was between 1909 and 1918. This model was manufactured to accommodate 5 dry plate sizes, this one being 3.25" x 5.5".

No. 1A Autographic Kodak Jr.

Item is a folding camera for For 2 1/2 x 4 1/4 in. exposures on A-116 film. This was a version of the No. 1A Kodak Jr. updated to include the autogrpahic feature, which allowed notes to be made on the film by scratching them into the film paper with a special stylus. A window opened in the back of the camera to expose the backing paper. The original selling price was between $11 and $24. Has a Kodak F-79 lens. Lens is a Kodak Anastigmat F-77 lens, 130 mm. with a Kodak ball bearing shutter.

Item is a Vest Pocket strut camera for 4.5 x 6cm exposures on 127 roll film. Strut cameras differed from other folding cameras in that the lens remained exposed or uncovered when the camera was folded down. This model has a Bakelite body.

Item is a self-erecting folding camera for 5.7 x 8.25 cm (2 1/2" x 3 1/4") exposures with 120 autographic roll film. The Autogrpahic feature allowed notes to be made on the film by scratching them into the film paper with a special stylus. A window opened in the back of the camera to expose the backing paper. Lens is a Bausch and Lomb with Kodak ball bearing shutter.
