Biographical history

G. Bruce Doern was born on January 2, 1942 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He earned his B. A. from the University of Manitoba in 1964; his M. A. from Carleton University in 1966; and his Ph.D from Queen's University in 1969.
He was a Professor at Carleton's School of Public Policy and Administration between 1968-2008 - acting as its Director between 1972-1981. He was also a Professor of Public Policy in the Politics Department at the University of Exeter in the U. K.
