Custodial history

No accession information exists regarding either of the two architectural pieces. However, we do know the pieces were part of 329 Church Street, Toronto. Student Services occupied the building from June 1970 to July 1971. It was demolished in 1975 for Ryerson's Architecture Building. The items were, thus, arranged into the Student Services department record group.

a house designed by famed architect, E.J. Lennox, built approximately 1906 for a Dr. J.E. Graham). Similarities in architectural design to Lennox's Old City Hall reflected in the Romanesque arches of the front elevation first floor and the basket weave brickwork in the third storey dormer. ("Toronto: No Mean City" by Eric Arthur, revised 1986)

Scope and content

Series consists of two architectural pieces, a wood mantlepiece and a stained glass window, removed from 329 Church Street before its demolition to make way for Ryerson's Architecture Building.
